This is a wonderful organization that keeps the best interest of the dog first. They take in dogs from all types of situations and have foster families that provide homes until the dog finds their forever family. No one gets paid in this organization, so please have patience and understanding. If you personally volunteer for any organization you get it. Adopted my beautiful boy Gunner from them. Please consider rescue before purchasing a dog.

To anyone who has ever loved a dog: This organization, Weimaraner Rescue of Texas, has wrongfully let my dog be adopted. She was surrendered in error whilst in the midst of a move during which time she was temporarily being looked after by another individual. The individual surrendered her without my knowledge and I’ve been trying for 6 1/2 weeks to get her back. I have photo evidence dating back two years among other things proving I am her owner. The Board of Directors has chosen to cut off all communication with me and honor a contract with the new owner. I truly believe that they have never contacted the adoptive owner to let them know of this situation. I am absolutely heartbroken. Please help me find my dog. She’s a 2 1/2 year old gray Weimaraner named Layla. She’s the sweetest puppy alive and she needs me as much as I need her. This organization has disregarded my feelings entirely and I’m beyond shocked that people who claim to be dog lovers could treat a fellow dog lover like this.

We adopted our elle when she was 4 and hw positive Barbara, her foster mom took fantasic care of her. At 15 we had to put her down 8 11 20 We have had other weims, and other dogs Elle was a wonderful, sweet loving daddys girl. Letting her crossover was the right thing to do, it doesn't mean I don't miss her everyday. She was and is daddys girl. Always......

Best rescue ever, I got my sweet Peppermint from WRT & she is the best dog I have ever had.. They take great care in finding the perfect pet parents for these dogs that have been dumped on their doorstep. They are all vetted & cared for while waiting for their furever homes.
