Awesome. I loved Dr.Loretta and her assistants. The young lady at the front desk was sure to make me feel like my best friend was in good hands. I could not imagine my cat being cared for by anyone else. 10000/10 experience and I have recommended Loving Paws to all my friends. Thank you once again guys !!!
I have been going to Loving Paws for the last year since I moved to the neighborhood. I am a fosterer and I rescuer, so I have been to see Dr. Loretta often with a number of cats in that time. I have found her to be caring, observant and wise. Absolutely comprehensive visits for each cat. She has always been clear about what options are available and explaining why she recommends the course she does. She has has a deep understanding of animals and obviously extremely experienced diagnosing any potential health issues as they've cropped up. She's even helped find permanent homes for a couple of cats I rescued from the street, including a young kitten who wasn't eating and likely would have died without all of Loretta's amazing work and attention with her when she took her in till she was strong enough to be adopted. Dr. Lorretta also helped revive another cat who was traumatized from a bad spay (at another clinic). She worked with me over weeks to find the correct diet and medical regime to cure the ongoing infection - which may well have killed her otherwise. I am very appreciative for all of Dr. Loretta's work with all of my cats!
Dr. Loretta and her team went above and beyond to seek out answers and help our beloved kitty get better!! They took excellent care of our cat during her hospitalization and were consistent about visits and calls to communicate about her progress and meds. They were up front about costs and very reasonable. Really happy with the attention and care!
Dr. Loretta and her team are amazing! She has always provided the best care for my cats and is the most compassionate and thorough veterinarian I have met.
The best vet around. So kind, warm, and caring. I was able to make an appointment within 2 days of calling. They provided me with tons of educational materials and information on 24-hour emergency options. Their explanation of my cat's treatment options was thorough, and transparent. There was no judgement when I asked what I thought might be ignorant questions. Very impressed and very grateful for the care they took with my pet.
I used to be one of Loving Paws longest running clients since 2017. There were always a few things that make you question the practice but because Dr. Loretta is amazing and has saved my dog countless times - in the end, it's just not worth the stress. The problem with Loving Paws is less on Dr. Loretta and more on the staff and the way they conduct business. If you go here and even just a tiny bit of your gut tells you something is wrong, it probably is. Listen to the other reviews and if you care at all about medical records, DO NOT GO HERE. For years I was asking for medical records *just to have* but never received them. Once my dog got older and I started using pet insurance for her, I actually needed the records and was met with endless excuses like computer issues, or that they can't send the records whenever they want, it just automatically sends within 1-2 weeks. Or they'll tell you the records were sent directly to the insurance company when in fact it wasn't. Not to mention, they make you feel bad for using insurance, like you shouldn't have a pet if you're not made of money. After much fighting and a one-on-one conversation with Dr. Loretta, she personally put in the records to have my files sent to my email directly after every visit. Did that ever happen? No, not once. My final straw with Loving Paws was when I brought my dog to an ER vet and had to see a specialist for her kidney disease. They needed her latest blood work and SOAP notes from the past few visits. The specialist's office ultimately gave up on trying to get the records, which in turn affected the timeline of our rather urgent treatment. When I called Loving Paws to get the records myself, they said the records had been sent two days ago. Then another staff member said it must be in my spam folder as it was just sent (it wasn't) and she confessed nothing had been sent since April (this was October). Dr. Loretta then proceeded to tell me that a cat was dying, they couldn't talk about this right now, and hung up on me. It was unprofessional, rude, and to this day I haven't received a follow up call, no reminders for the meds I still have waiting to pick up, and no reminders for my dog's annual vaccinations this month. Doesn't matter anyway, because my dog has now passed. Other weird things to keep in mind: -When they take your pet to the back, you'll never know what they actually do there. They'll trim your dog's hair around the face and butt and charge you $20. -For medications if you need an 1/8 teaspoon of something, they'll include a measuring spoon but wait! It's another $20 when you could just buy it on Amazon for $4. -Dog won't eat? It's probably the humidity. Loving Paws will give you a thermometer to keep in your house, and that'll be $25 (normal price $8). -They don't let you see an itemized copy of your expenses before paying. You have to blindly sign and agree to paying the cost without seeing it. Don't even think about questioning what some of the costs are for because the receptionist has no idea. -They'll take forever to fill your script with Chewy and when you ask them why, they'll say they can fill it in their office TODAY (but for twice or triple the price). Steer clear of this place. Go to Brooklyn Veterinary Group instead.
