If I could give zero stars I would! I brought my dog into be seen this evening, because she cut her foot and was bleeding. I waited 1 hour!! and the only thing that happened was the bleeding worsened, she was given medicine and Dr. Gruber examined her for a minute. I asked staff MULTIPLE times for help because my dog was DRIPPING BLOOD into PUDDLES! and nobody came to help. I’m not sure of the vet techs name but she was RUDE! and should be re trained. After over an hour of waiting, I asked for them to bandage my dog up so I can go home and take her elsewhere, I was told to wait and they’ll get to me when they can. So I walked out to my car, and the vet tech approached my vehicle with a very nasty look on her face and asked for payment. When I said I wouldn’t be paying for the service that WASNT RECEIVED, she shooed me with her hand and walked back inside. I WILL BE VISITING THIS UPCOMING WEEK TO SPEAK TO MANAGEMENT!

My husband recently took our two year old Bernese Mountain Dog there after we couldn’t locate the source on itch/wound on his neck. Everyone my husband and daughter met that night was beyond pleasant and patient. Although it was a long visit (approx 3 hours), every step was explained as tests were performed and results waited upon. Staff even encouraged them to go grab dinner when one test would take 30 mins for results. Long story short we have a big boy back at home, one of a kind haircut, cone of shame, but with a wagging tail and big personality. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our dog and humans that night!

I can't tell you how frantic I was when I brought my 3 year old cat here. He couldn't pee. He was crying every time he tried. He kept making trips to the box and sitting in there for a long time and not voiding. He was blocked with crystals. He needed a catheter. They monitored him through the night and made him comfortable. Then he was transferred to my vet the next day to be monitored and back here the following evening still with the catheter. Afterward, another day at my vet, and finally, I was able to bring him home. He did well for 2 days but started with the tiny pee and blood in his urine. So back to here. These people genuinely care. Thankfully, he wasn't blocked this time but just had pain from the catheter. He was sent home with meds. He is doing well so far. Realistically, I know the outcome could have been very different. I also know it can happen again. I feel my kitty got top-notch care. I really want to thank all of you. The only negative thing about this experience is not being able to go in with my cat. They are still following the flu protocol. To watch them take my cat and have to wait in the car for news about his condition was very difficult.

We rushed our sick girl, Cue, to Delmarva late Christmas Eve into Christmas morning, and met with Dr. Jennifer Scheidt. She's a great listener, is gentle and warm, and very clearly communicates what she's seeing and the path forward. She and the team got to work immediately to help Cue. Our Angel wound up passing away with them a few hours later, but not before Dr. Jennifer and the team did everything they could to save her. Our chests feel like black holes, but we are eternally grateful for their efforts to help Cue. ***To Dr. Jennifer and team - Cue had the biggest heart in the world, and we've promised to remind each other "WWCD" (What Would Cue Do?) for the rest of our lives. We don't know how yall have the strength to do what you do day after day, but we believe yall embody WWCD. THANK YOU, and be great. <3

I love this veterinarian. Our dog was whelping puppies and needed emergency care in the middle of the night. Two other emergency veterinarian hospitals closer to us in Middletown, said that they were “full” and had no room to see her. Really? And we called earlier I. The week to ask if we could go to these if there was a problem. We later learned that they vet hospitals were not full; instead, we were lied to. The hospitals had no veterinarians there that night. Delmarva could see our dog and saved both her and her puppy! They are fantastic! They did so with compassion, efficiency, and skill! I will go here again!

We took our 12 week old puppy here because he had been vomiting for many hours. The staff here was amazing! During such a stressful time for us, they took great care of our puppy and made sure that we were informed the whole time. We now have a happy puppy that’s on the mend. Thanks Delmarva Animal Emergency Center!
