Will never go back. They forgot to reschedule my cats neuter operation. Showed up to the clinic and all they said was you have to reschedule. Had to take additional day off work for the appointment which made me lose money. Showed up on Wednesday and was late for drop off by 14 minuetes. Rude receptionist told me as soon as I went to the waiting room there will be a late fee of $30 per cat because I am 14 minutes late. I guess losing entire day of work pay and over hour driving back and from my home don't mean anything to them but being late 14 minutes late for dropping off the cat is SO MUCH inconvenient for them to charge me $60! I paid the amount in full but detailed receipt was sent to my wife. I did not wanna bother with them anymore so I left. My wife calls me we are charged additional $30 on one of our cat for some test which non of them explained to me while I was there. So if you did a test on my cat and charged me another $30 but no result or anyone bothered to explained to me what it was for. People if you wanna save few dollars and have one of the worst customer experience please go visit this establishment.

Bernadette, if that’s the front desk lady real name. She made me feel very invaluable as a customer. She was extremely rude not very helpful at all her tone was full of venomous attitude. I kept telling her I was a regular customer and do not know how to request the online appointment and that the previous lady at front desk tried to make my appointment while I was there but I told her that I would have to look at work schedule and that she told me just to call and pay my $30 appointment fee like I usually do. She wanted me to name drop instead of being sympathetic of my situation. She even hung up the phone on me and when I called back she had a chuckle in her voice and would not let me speak with a manager. She kept going back and forth with me that she had to know what it was about first. I know that the humane society is a blessing to us that are low income needy families as much as I am grateful to have you all service. I feel like it should be reciprocated in the way we are spoken to at the counter and over the phone. Not making us feel less then. A as bd not being heard and sympathized with.

I recently had a fantastic experience with the Chesapeake Humane Society when I took my dog Apollo to be neutered. The whole process was very smooth, and I was extremely impressed with the level of care and attention that he received. The staff at the Chesapeake Humane Society were very friendly and welcoming. They provided me with all the necessary information about the procedure and what to expect, which put my mind at ease. They were also very thorough in their examination of my dog, ensuring that he was healthy and ready for the surgery. The cost of the procedure was very reasonable, and I was impressed with the value for money. I felt like I was getting a high-quality service at a fraction of the cost of other places. The surgery itself went very smoothly, and Apollo was well taken care of throughout the whole process. The staff provided me with all the necessary information on how to care for him after the surgery, which was very helpful. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the level of care and attention that my dog received at the Chesapeake Humane Society. They provided a high-quality service at a great value, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and professional veterinary service. Thank you, Chesapeake Humane Society, for taking such great care of my dog Apollo!

My furbabies get their vaccinations and dental cleanings here. They have reasonable prices and treat them with loving care.

I’ve been here before and the experience was really pleasant but the person handling the cats was extremely overwhelming, we never even got a chance to look at the cats because she was following right behind us and talking to us the whole time. We weren’t even there for more than maybe 5 minutes and she goes okay which one is speaking to you so we can put the adoption papers in. If you want to take a cat into a separate room to get to know them and pet them you have to sign adoption papers for first. She was handling the kittens honestly quite harshly which was kind of off putting to see. An overall nice woman with i’m sure good intentions but just way too much and not the correct way to go about an adoption process. The front desk staff seemed really lovely though.

I had my cat spayed and the procedure seemed to go well. However, 5 days later the internal sutures failed and my cat's internal lymphatic tissue fell out of her surgery incision. It was horrible seeing her insides dragging on the ground. My cat had to be seen at the emergency vet closest to me, it was 10pm, and endure another surgery costing me $741.00. Thankfully they were available late at night. I called the Chesapeake Humane Society Clinic the following day and asked to speak to the clinic manager to notify them of what happened and hopefully get some assistance with the bill. When I called I spoke with the receptionist. She took my information and said someone would return my call, i never received any call back to discuss this or for them to check on the wellbeing of my cat. I'm upset with their lack of concern and general lack of customer service. I was a veterinary tech for 15+ years and to date I've never seen a surgery complication like my poor cat had to endure
