Our dog Maggie was bitten by a rattlesnake Saturday morning. We were in the mountains when it happened so immediately started heading into town to get her help and ended up finding Southwest Animal Emergency Clinic. They got her in right away. The Dr. was thorough in explaining the next steps and they began her treatment quickly. The staff was helpful and kind and kept us updated along the way on her progress and even called us since we have brought Maggie home to check in on her. They were great and I would recommend them to anyone needing urgent care for their pet.

My whole experience has been very good. I have a Bernese Mountain Puppy. He’s the best puppy I’ve ever had, and I’ve had some good ones. The front desk is very nice and helpful, kudos to Jess. Taylor, the manager seems very caring and concerned for both the people and the pets. Scotland the tech, is very engaging and displays warmth for her patients. Dr. James Vincent is a highly skilled professional. He’s a former US Marine, he went to Veterinarian school in New Zealand, and he is very in tune within his environment. There’s no judgment, nothing bad vibing from within the clinic. Very diligent to diagnose and remediate the issue with proper meds and intervention. I thought I was going to lose my pup to Hip Dysplasia, I was in bit of a panic, my Duece is in pain and not eating like normal. As it turns out my boy has a condition called Immuno Mediated Polyarthritis and is not life threatening. They still treated me with dignity and got me the meds we needed. I would 100% recommend. And the clinic is very clean and well kept. Thanks again!

I had an unfortunate situation with our little Maltechon who was only 13 weeks old. We purchased her at 10 weeks old. We had to take her to the vet every week and today the vet told us of her inability to thrive. A couple things played into that, but the doctor was very respectful of our frustration and feelings to hearing that we may have to put our new little puppy down. The doctor was thorough and the receptionist was so kind in dealing with us. A hard sotuateas made immensely better by that super nice doctor (Tyson Wayment)! He was skilled and well educated. His professional nature and empathy were amazing!

My cat got into rat poison at 3 AM. Their tech Sherry answered the phone and put us in contact with the pet poison helpline. She explained the process and was very calming when I was freaking out. I called her back and asked to come inside and weigh my kitty and the remainder of the poison to calculate how dangerous of a dose he ingested, and she got us inside right away and did that for us. She sat with us while we waited on the phone with the poison helpline and asked them questions to help get my cat the best care. In the end she helped us find out that we had time to take him to our regular vet so we didn’t have to spend a crazy amount of money there at the “ER.” Helped us weigh and calculate and understand and cared about our financial situation unprompted. Didn’t charge anything for all her help. Thank you Sherry, so much for what you did to help us. That level of caring and kindness is amazing to run into! 💕💕

I took my cat Scarlet in last weekend because she had become very lethargic and wasn’t eating or drinking anything ever since I got a new kitten. The staff were very compassionate, knowledgeable, and let me know I could call them if I still needed help with her treatments once I got her home. Fast forward to a week later, Scarlet’s energy is back to normal and she is eating and drinking again. Thank you!!

Our 2-year-old Aussie got shot with a shotgun and we brought him in to this clinic. The staff and vet were absolutely amazing, and so caring of our little guy. They took such good care of him, stitched him up, and gave medicines to help him heal. They walked us through all of our options for Tucker and were very helpful and knowledgeable with everything. I am happy to say that as of today, little Tucker is doing so much better and we are so grateful to this clinic for keeping him alive :) Would highly recommend taking your beloved pet to the Southwest Animal Emergency Clinic!!
