I have been taking my animals, cats and a dog, here for almost 8 years. Everyone is thoughtful and caring and the vets always take time to answers as many questions as I have and share their own thoughts without ever seeming rushed. They are mindful of the cost of everything and never pressure. I never worry that my pets aren't getting the best care.

I love this hospital. Everyone who works here is kind and understanding. I definitely feel comfortable bringing Clove (cat) here for treatment and checkups. Clove hates her carrier but she likes everyone here because she hasn't been a problem towards any of them. She do be loving attention though ❤️❤️

I won’t bore you with details but suffice it to summarize: After 9 years of care..I received the rudest treatment from the front desk staff person. There is just no reason to treat Clients, people, anyone, that way. Disrespect and disregard for my dog’s care = you lost our business. So yeah: beware and be warned folks. Their response to this critique above only makes my point more clearly. A terrible experience dealing with that person on the phone. There are literal lies about what happened in their reactive response and zero accountability for some of the worst customer “service” I’ve ever encountered. Maybe look at the critique and try to address the issues raised, improve perhaps…hire a new office person to replace the one I spoke with at the very least, her behavior was truly awful. Thank goodness there are other options for my Ginger. Good riddance.

Our dog Aki has been a patient at Westside Animal Hospital several times for different problems and every time the problems were solved, even when a diagnosis was difficult. Dr. Shuman saved Aki’s life when he ate a sock that Dr. Shuman retrieved through endoscopy in his stomach. All staff members have been always nice and supportive, and have always taken care of our needs. My husband and I have just left California for Italy, and we have brought Aki with us. We had to go through a lot of bureaucracy in order to comply with the US and EU rules about international transport. We received invaluable help from the manager at the clinic, who prepared all the documents that Aki needed. We have been very impressed with the professional and human skills of Dr Shuman and all staff, we are very grateful, and we will never forget them. Thank you! Mariachiara & Hal
