Drove from outside Salem 2.1 hours to go there due to the Veteran discount and just how I was treated with kindness - customer service is 10 star plus from all employees here - my pup is healing nicely from being spayed here - highly recommended - awesome experience
I called For The Love of Paws Veterinary Clinic for my cat who I believed had a Urinary Tract Infection. They answered the phone and said they aren't taking any new patients. My question is this, why even answer the phone and hurt people by telling them this. Why not just put the phone on called ID and see the calls from regular clients. Then what made matters worse is a friend of mine stated she just spoke to someone who worked there and said they are taking new patients. I still have 5 cats and I know when they go home to heaven I will not have any more pets due to the horrible Veterinary services here in Douglas County.
I've been with this office for many years. They have always taken care of all our fur babies. My boyfriend, who is a vet, came here as well. We recently had to say goodbye to our precious Rompy. I just can't put into words how amazing they were. Today, a month later, we recieved a card from them. It had Rompys's paw print, and nose print. Thank you from the bottom of our heart. Our boy was our everything. And you made us feel like family. We are forever going to this office...
Overall this is a good veterinary clinic. We have brought two of our cats here to have them spayed. We are very grateful to have the opportunity to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. We have had several cats spayed over the years and this place does a good job compared to others. My only gripe is the second cat we got spayed a couple months after the first cat, they charged us an additional $60 for a wellness check that they didn't do or charge us for the first cat we got spayed. I wouldn't be unsatisfied if they would have explained to us before the appointment, but no one explained anything to us. They didn't do that for the first cat, so why the second cat. It felt like they did it just to make more money with the visit. I know there are other vets who do this but I thought this place was different. Vets need to focus on the issues that come if people can't afford to spay their cats. For us the $60 didn't make or break us, but for people who are more financially challenged this could be very difficult or make it to where they just won't bring the animal in. Also in other towns I have lived in, had spay and neuter projects where spaying your cat was only $40. So I feel the price here to spay was already high. The fact they didn't disclose they were doing a wellness check, and just charged us feels like bad manners. The technique of just forcing a charge on someone isn't ethical in the world I live in. If it wasn't for that I would have given them 5 stars. The staff was friendly and communicated promptly. The biggest thing is that my pet is home and recovering well. Overall I would recommend this place maybe just clarify what they are doing before they do it.
I took my dog here once for an emergency. When I wanted to establish care for all of my animals, they insisted I bring my dog back to be spayed first. Making me wait sooo long, my cat finally escaped (she was kept safe inside for a year!) and got got pregnant! Now I am canceling my appointment and going someplace who will handle whatever animal I choose first Ridiculous.
My grandma who traps the neighbor hood cats to get them fixed and help the community was denied because she couldn’t afford to get one of her dogs fixed. We were never even notified that it had been canceled or there was different options. When I asked the lady why these options where not brought up in my previous conversation about not being abode to afford it she told me that she was not gonna stand on the phone and argue with me and she was trying to sympathetic. All she did was put me and on hold to ask her manager and tell me not to argue by asking one simple question. They are a non profit organization who have 0 communication skills and a hard lack in office organization. I would take my business to Baileys veterinary because they know how to communicate and notify people before you just get denied.
