Forced religion at one of their “approved” establishments only—they required attendance of eight hour-long religious services every seven days. Hate speech was tolerated. Inadequate laundry/hygiene. Inadequate nutrition. One of the directors would “lay hands on” residents and make wild predictions about their futures. What I saw was predatory in every way.

They punish hardworking people by refusing them scraps for dinner after a long and hard work day. Meanwhile, the lazy bunch that stares at the wall all say get all the benefits of staying here. Even extra special treatment to verbally abusive people. All the hardworking volunteers and guests are just mistreated all day every day. The volunteers work 40+ hours per week to not get recognized and trashed for all the hard work they do. The current manager will whine about how you are breaking “policy” without any concrete evidence or even examples of how. She refuses to let nonviolent people in under the cold weather policy. She straight-up demands for a single lady to be on prescribed drugs to stay there. Must prove all medical/mental health personal information in 30-degree weather on Black Friday at 7:30. they look down on moms with special-needs kids too. They have a partially deaf mom. And they demanded to know whether or not her hearing aids were actually prescribed by a doctor and insinuated that she was faking. She has all the medical information in order to prove it, and she gave that to them, and they said that it wasn’t enough that they didn’t believe that she actually had hearing loss.

It's gone a bit down hill since my last stay. They don't bother to really try with avoiding making things people can't eat(allergies to certain food) there's always something someone can't eat and the alternative is a pb&j or something like that.

A great place that will help any women, it doesn't matter what situation you are in. I lost my all my identification and cannot find a place to stay and one of the voluntary at work recommended that i called this place. They asked me no question and offer me a place to stay. I am a medical traveler and all i have to do was follow the rules, i became attached to the wonderful ladies and the Chapel reading, but i have to leave and fine my own place even though i hate living by myself but i only have two more month left and i will take the memories with me to become a better person. I miss them and may god bless them all Thank you.

Rude. Biased. Ignorant. Evil. Fire the woman in charge. She profiles against young girls who need help.

If you're looking to make lifelong friends or for someone to reach out because they care then don't bother staying here. But just like every other place you keep your chin down stay to yourself don't engage in other people's drama make sure your room is clean and you do your chores on time and smoke in the appropriate smoking section then you shouldn't have a problem. Get in get a job get out it's a good place for a bed shower and food daily
