Description Rhode Home Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose volunteers have many years of rescue experience. Our mission is to identify and rescue all types of dogs from overwhelmed euthanasia shelters to abuse/neglect situations and place them in secure, loving homes. We are a foster-based program, so we do not have a physical shelter environment and all adoptable dogs are held in volunteer foster homes throughout RI until adopted. We have weekly adoption events at local pet stores to showcase our adoptable dogs and find them their perfect "fur-ever" homes.

We had been looking for a new pup since losing our very loved dog a few months ago. We applied to Rhode Home Rescue and the process was pretty simple. I submitted a application and photos of our home. We then had a telephone interview and decided to attend a adoption event. The pups are all well taken care of and the volunteers were wonderful. We decided to adopt our little Ollie that day and he has been a wonderful addition to our family and helped heal our hearts over losing our Finn. This is a really great organization and we hope to become more involved and help them in their mission. We highly recommend Rhode Home Rescue and we will give our business to the businesses that help them to help these homeless dogs that just want a home and a person to love them.
Adopted two dogs from RHR and now volunteer by fostering. Love this rescue! So many different breeds of dogs including doodles and shihtzus, and gorgeous mixed breeds. Lots of puppies too!
The process for adopting our new puppy was very smooth and easy! Rhode Home Rescue is very thorough when it comes to matching applicants with potential dogs to adopt. It's very apparent that they care about each dog so much, and they work very hard to find the right home for each one. My application screener was great--she understood exactly what we wanted and needed, and she made sure to keep us informed about dogs becoming available that would meet our needs. My husband is allergic, so we needed a "hypoallergenic" dog, and one that would get along with our current dog. We found one fairly quickly with the help of our screener, Christine. She and Rhode Home Rescue were amazing to work with. We are in love with our new dog; she was absolutely the right dog for our family. This wasn't our first time trying to adopt. We've had some strange experiences with other organizations. We were so impressed with the professional and caring people and sensible processes of Rhode Home Rescue.
I absolutely love their unwavering dedication to saving pups. Watching the arrival on Friday nights is a highlight. Would love to consider fostering in the future.
Love Rhode home rescue.we adopted our Thelma.
