Currently homeless, great resource for a bed and shower, you can be out from 4am to 6pm. Breakfast lunch and dinner prepared by staff through donations, need more soap donations.

I am extremely impressed with Good Shepherd's House and the work they do to support our community. Their mission to provide food, shelter, and support services to individuals and families in need is truly inspiring. The staff and volunteers are passionate and dedicated to their work, and they go above and beyond to make a positive impact in the lives of those they serve. The shelter is clean, safe, and welcoming, and the meals they provide are delicious and nutritious. I appreciate the various programs and resources they offer to help people get back on their feet and achieve self-sufficiency. Good Shepherd's House is a shining example of a non-profit organization that truly cares about the well-being of the community, and I would highly recommend supporting their mission in any way you can.

I used to live at the Good Shepherd. Good meals were provided along with a clean place to stay. Some of the staff were nice and helpful especially the social worker Joe! He advised me on what to do to get housing and I'm so grateful for that. Some of the staff were not so nice, especially a man named Tim. He no longer works there praise God but works at Walmart now and I feel bad for anyone that has to work with him. May God have mercy on his soul!

Katrina Knight, the executive director, was extremely rude. I applied for the case management position on indeed on 4/26/23. I called a couple of days later to check the status of my application and got no reply. I called again today, 6/2/23. I left a voicemail with Katrina, again asking about the status of my application. She called back a couple of hours later and stated that since I called twice I “didn’t understand how non-profits work” and told me that my enthusiasm was “too much.” She then implied that I would not be patient enough for the hiring process. I currently work for a non-profit organization in Asheville, NC and have for 6 months. I found her behavior to be very unprofessional and condescending. Someone working for the community and supposed to be in such a caring role should not behave the way she did towards me.

Mother Hubbard Cupboard and Good Shepherd work together to feed the hungry in our area. Since Good Shepherd serves hot meals and Mother Hubbard's bridges the gap in people's pantries and refrigerators, we often exchange foods that work best for each mission. We are thankful for our ongoing relationship - keep up the good fight!
