Attempted to have my rabbit placed for adoption 2 1/2 years ago. The excuse then was Covid. They weren't taking any rescues due to the pandemic. Now, still not taking rescues due to the pandemic. So I texted to ask if they have socialization times when I could bring my rabbit to meet other rabbits. I receive a text back, and "no and rabbits are very territorial." Nothing more. No advice or suggestions. Yet there's a rescue in Charlotte that does just that and more. Bottom line, it's been 2 1/2 years, and I still have my bunny who is 5 years old, and she's fine. Have a wonderful vet at Carolina Animal Hospital. There is no need to contact this place again.

Jennie Hoyt is amazing, as are all of the followers, helpers and volunteers in this organization. They have ensured many bunnies will have better lives and educate new parents of house rabbits. Everyone should appreciate and support this group. Thank you ❤️

Just adopted Penelope from them today. She's such a sweetie! I was really impressed by how knowledgeable the rescue is and how eager they were to educate. The information packet they gave was helpful and great even as someone who has owned rabbits before and is constantly keeping up on researching their pet. I would absolutely recommend adopting from here and donating. They love their rabbits and are eager to make sure that the homes they go to are good for them. (If they don't respond immediately, just be patient and follow up if necessary. I can imagine they're fairly busy but they do want to make sure these rabbits are getting good homes!)

They are an awesome rescue, that truly cares about the well being of each bunny they save. I was truly impressed with the time and energy they spend with teaching about proper bunny care before they adopt out any of the bunnies. We love our bunnies we adopted from them recently and had a very positive experience. Adopt don't shop.

We met some of the wonderful volunteers of the NHC Rabbit Rescue at an adoption fair while at Petco. Our son has been wanting a rabbit and a few volunteers took the time to educate our son (and us) about how to properly care for rabbits. The knowledge they have is vast and their commitment to these sweet animals is beyond measure. I can't say enough about how great this organization is!

Having worked for and owned/fostered rescued rabbits for almost a decade, I can say with the utmost confidence that NHC rabbit rescue knows their stuff! They are totally knowledgeable and will only adopt a rabbit to the best homes possible, ensuring the animals have plenty of space and are kept safe with nutritious diets and proper socialization. I’m in absolute awe at all the good work they do for these animals and the huge parts of their lives they donate to nursing their babies back to health and making sure they find their furever homes. A++, if I could give them 10/5 stars, I would.
