Wonderful resource for those in dire need. If you need a place to stay overnight, then Pete’s Place is there to help you! They don’t judge you based on your lifestyle, but there are some very simple and easy to follow rules to stay here. You must be willing to prove your vaccination record, have a legitimate negative test that is less than a week old or be willing to take a Covid test, in order to stay overnight. You will have your photo taken when checking in, which is never posted anywhere else and is only seen by staff, so there’s no need to worry. They have limited space for storing your belongings, so don’t bring more than 2 kitchen sized trash bags of stuff. If you have a dog, they have a kennel, so your fur baby will be safe too. Resource days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On those days starting at 9am - 11am, you’re able to sign up for a shower, to get fresh clothes from the community closet, and receive a hot plentiful lunch. Mail is only available on these days as well, and only before 2pm. Make sure you sign up at the front desk on those days and to stay within earshot of the front door, cause they will call your name when you’re next. Get there early if you expect to shower, and be patient if not. They’re very busy those days and sometimes they don’t get to everyone that’s signed up. Case management is available every day, unless they’re out of the office. It’s best to make an appointment with a case manager, and to actually *show up for it*. Don’t be late by an hour or an entire day and still expect to be helped. Respect their time, they’re incredibly busy. There is lunch available every day, whether it’s a bagged, or a hot meal. Again, you have to be there on time to receive it, between 11:30am-12:30pm. Don’t go there at like 3:45pm and demand food or coffee. Hot meals are served indoors, and you are required to eat inside as well. Bagged lunches are permitted to be taken to-go. Be respectful and use common sense when visiting the property. ***No alcohol, marijuana use, or drugs are allowed to be consumed on site.*** They also don’t allow shopping carts, as they are considered stolen property by SFPD. While dogs are welcome, they must be well behaved, leashed and watched after by the owner at all times. Parking is free but it is not a public parking lot. You will have to have legitimate shelter business to park here, and don’t hang out in your car as they will ask you to get out or leave. As mentioned, storage is available, but only to those who stay overnight, and this includes bicycle storage. Don’t expect them to just store stuff for free for you forever, however. They will discard anything that has been “abandoned” for two weeks. So check in with staff often if you went to keep your stuff. It’s always a good idea to keep your belongings organized, so you can keep better track of them, and reduce the possibility of theft. Depending on the time of year, check in is usually between 6-7pm, so if you find yourself in a situation where you don’t have anywhere to go, are down and out, on the streets, and want to sleep in a warm bed, visit Pete’s Place!

Food was bomb ! Just don't trust your belongings with them ! Your bags is the safest locked up here they said, you can get it back in the morning they said. Wasn't til I got quite upset and very persistent did my bag back only to find my wallet missing. Shame on me !

So many great things they do here for people struggling on the streets and the staff are so kind and compassionate! They don’t turn away anyone no matter their situation! Santa Fe doesn’t have enough shelters to house the homeless. We need more shelters and assistance like this. They truly care!

67 years old, and compassion is what you see and feel, I was crippled up needing total hip replacement Dr. Marria trusted me and the feeling is mutual. She guided me in the right direction and I can now walk again given another chance to start over. Pete's place gives you your life back and makes sure you have what you need to change your life, if you want to

The Interfaith Community shelter provides overnight accommodation in bunk beds and they help with some meals and clothing.
