Trio is amazing, I simply can’t say enough good things about them and life saving work they do. No other organization like them exists that helps dogs when they need it most - shelters just don’t have the resources. Trio never gives up on an animal due to cost of care if that animal has a chance at a good life. They all deserve that chance but, unfortunately, are not so lucky. We just recently adopted one such dog who needed extensive care due to horrific abuse. Trio never hesitated getting her all the care she needed and made sure to make all their decisions based on what’s best for her and her mental and physical health - not what’s most convenient for them. They truly care about the animals and it could not be more apparent. The adoption process is thorough as they want to find the best fit for everyone, in order to give the dog the happily ever after that they deserve. So it may be frustrating if you are not chosen for a dog you are interested in but just know that they know the animal well, how they act and what can trigger them. For me, I just knew our girl was the one. I looked into her eyes in the photo and it’s like looking into her soul. At that moment I knew it was her I wanted to bring home and love forever. I read her story and was heartbroken for her, but knew we could give her a new life with unconditional love. After Sue and everyone at Trio showed her it’s okay to trust again, they paved the way for our special relationship to form and our bond to grow a little every day. They even inquire about her often, checking in to make sure she is adjusting well. If you are looking for an animal, I highly recommend TAF. Also they greatly appreciate support of any kind, since their work is only possible through wonderful and generous donors like us. Thank you again, Trio, for giving our baby a second chance at life! She has stolen our hearts!

Bridgid was so nice and helpful throughout the whole adoption process. She answered emails quickly and after meeting our pup’s foster mom it was clear they really cared about the homes each dog went to. I highly recommend Trio Animal Foundation!

We recently adopted a 10-year-old Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso from Trio Animal Foundation. When Teddy (formerly Tidy) was brought into Chicago animal control, he was in really bad shape, full of mats, with badly infected teeth, and an assortment of other health issues. TAF brought him to their vet and, after some much needed care and TLC, Teddy was back in shape and ready for adoption. We're so happy to have him in our lives! Thanks to organizations like TAF, pets like Teddy can get a second chance at a happy life, or in some cases, their only chance. I can't recommend them highly enough!
