Highly recommend this clinic. They are amazing. We have a younger dog that has bad hips and knees. They take excellent care with her. We also have a 28 year old cat that is still with us thanks to their excellent care. We were lucky to find them. We came for another opinion on our dog in the beginning. We have stayed with them, for care of all our animals. Both young and old.

The entire staff and vets really do care about their patients and their caretakers. I was bringing my old man cat in 3 times a week for over a year to get Sub Q fluids and got to know everyone very well. I was always welcomed warmly and my cat was always treated so carefully and with the upmost compassion. When it was time to plan for end of life care for my cat I was not only effected but so was some of the staff. It was a very hard day for everyone as the staff had become attached caring for my sweet boy. Anytime I’ve had an emergency situation the staff has checked in with me, given me their personal phone numbers, offered to send records and notes to emergency vets. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Tran, Mindy and everyone that works for this amazing company. They truly care for our pets as if they were their own. I hope we can all offer each other the level of love and support they have given me and my pets over the years. We could all be so lucky to be cared for like that 🩷

We've been taking our pup here for a couple years now and they do an amazing job! All the staff we've met are so sweet and helpful. When our dog had a sprained leg, they got him in right away to make sure everything was ok. They also did a great job with our pup's neuter when he was a year old.

I absolutely hate to have to give a 1 star because I’ve loved this vet clinic for so long, but I can’t in good conscience not share my most recent experience. A few weeks ago I took my dog in because he was acting sick. They did a fecal test and it was determined he had hookworms. They prescribed antibiotics and sent us on our way which was fine. A couple weeks later he had continued to be sick and progressively got worse over the last few days. I took him in for his follow up and explained he was feeling worse and they said he just needed more antibiotics so they charged us a butt load of money for more antibiotics and sent us on our way. That didn’t sit right with me so I got him in with another vet for a second opinion. Within an hour the other vet was able to evaluate my dog and see that he had an intestinal blockage. It was determined by the new vet and the surgeon that my dog would have been dead in a few days if we had not gotten a second opinion. If we would have listened to this vets advice and brought him back in the 3 week recommended time, I would no longer have my dog. Thankfully my dog got the surgery he needed and is in recovery. I do know my dog can be difficult and he can be hard to evaluate, but they honestly just seemed lazy and didn’t really make much of an attempt at all. The other vet sedated my dog and did everything they could just to be able to evaluate him properly. I hate to have to write this because this hospital is super friendly and the front desk is great and attentive, but I cant in good conscience not share this experience.

I highly recommend Dr. Tran and the staff at Watauga Animal Hospital. Our sweet, sweet Tinkerbell had to cross over the Rainbow Bridge after 17 long precious years. They were all so compassionate, caring and respectful during a very difficult time in our lives. Dr. Tran is absolutely hands down the best veterinarian I've ever taken any of my fur babies to and we won't be going anywhere else. She provided the greatest care, empathy and treatment prior to and all the way through Tink's passing, explaining everything in great detail. We are forever grateful and appreciate you all!
