Description We do adoption meet and greets by appointment. Walk-ins may not be available if we have other appointments scheduled. We are a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue and rehabilitation facility. Animal Hope's primary mission focuses on at-risk animals at other shelters. As what some would call a "no kill" facility, we do not euthanize animals due to lack of space or time on shelter. With over forty-five years experience rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming at-risk animals, Dr. Michael Morris and Animal Hope strive to serve both the at-risk homeless pet population in North Texas and families looking for new companions. If you want to adopt a rescue animal please visit our website to view pets available for adoption.

My mother and I went to Animal Hope to adopt a companion for her after our chihuahua mix died recently. It's a little hidden and by appointment only, but well worth the drive and wait to meet the dogs. The team never made us feel rushed or as though we were an inconvenience. We ended up adopting Buck and taking him home and he is the best little guy for us that we could have asked for. I definitely recommend this shelter for finding your next companion, especially senior ones. They take amazing care of them while they are in their care and gave us all of the medical records, operations, shots, and even gave us cans of food to help ease the transition from their food to whatever food we use.

Adopted an older dog that needed us. She has adjusted nicely with her new family and we love her. We adopted a 2nd dog in November he's doing great. A wonderful addition to our family.

This is where we ended up getting our newest addition to our family, Remy. We started here, went to about 5 other shelters and ended up here again. They are a good place to go if your looking for a new canine friend, especially a small one.( apparently small dogs are popular) Their process is a little different than most though. You cannot just show up and expect to look at animals. Be sure you call or go online to make an appt to see the animal your interested in. They started this process because of Covid but saw the dogs, especially, were less stressed so they will be continuing to use this process. Also their adoption fee is a little pricey but it is worth it because you get the animal, their vaccines, microchiped, a bag of food, spay or neutered, and their first vet visit at the animal hospital next door. Remy is precious and we love her so much. I would highly recommend Animal Hope to anyone.

We went out last weekend to participate in Clear the Shelters day. After a long day of stopping in at the various ascpa's near us, we were starting to lose hope that we would find a dog who fit in with our family. Our final stop of the day was at this small shelter nearby to a PetSmart we had been at. We were discouraged and depressed after seeing so many lovely dogs who we knew we couldn't adopt. When we arrived they immediately made sure we knew they weren't a part of clear the shelters day and why the adoption fee was necessary. We weren't concerned with fees though. We just were looking for a new family member. The staff were friendly and attentive, guiding us to dogs that fit with us. She patiently told us about each one and let us visit with several. From the moment we saw our new dog looking through the bars at us, we knew she was the one but we wanted to meet multiple others just to be certain. They helped us made an educated and wise choice about our new family member and we couldn't be happier with the dog we brought home from them. We were pleased with the smooth adoption process and the level of education they provided about her history and medical needs. We've also been very happy with the follow up medical care they provided via the vet clinic next door to them. Thank you animal hope for setting us up with success! A few other notes, the facility is clean and all of the animals are well cared for. It feels like a home almost. Several of the staff's own pets were on site just hanging out. I love their philosophy about finding the right fit even if it takes time and they're not here to judge people. There's a right owner for every pet! We will be offering our support to this shelter every chance we get and we're looking forward to many happy years ahead with our new pup. Our pup went from bilateral cherry eye surgery to pampered couch potato in the attached pics. ❤️

I adopted an adult male Pomeranian from them and he's been the most sweetest loving caring companion a lonely single adult like myself could ever ask for. They seemed to have taken really good care of him and they knew how to answer the questions I asked as I adopted him. Thanks Animal Hope, Chip has been a very good friend!
