I can’t say for certain that I’ll never adopt for HSNT again bc I love our kitten so much already but, what should be a happy time in our house has turned into an extremely stressful situation. Pippa (previously Luna) was adopted from Petsmart Bryant Irvin almost 3 weeks ago. After almost a week, a ringworm spot showed up on her shoulder and yesterday we found out she has Giardia. We have 3 dogs and 2 other cats in the house. All are being treated for the fecal parasite which will require 6 days of meds and then all will have to have baths and I have to disinfect everything they’ve touched and clean/disinfect all litter boxes. On top of that the ringworm treatment plan requires our new baby to be quarantined and stuck in one room for 6 weeks. She has to get oral meds and lime sulfur dips for that! Adding a new pet to the family is always a bit stressful but, it shouldn’t have to be this hard! What irritates me the most is that Petsmart said they knew about the ringworm and didn’t bother or think to call recent adopters. These past few weeks have been me feeling pulled so many different directions making sure she’s happy and not so alone all day and then making sure my other pets are ok as well. Then on top of that a ton of cleaning and sanitation. Lucky for Pippa I’m a good pet parent and she has a safe loving home forever with us regardless of what’s happening now but, I will think extremely long and hard before considering ever using you guys again.
I brought my dog to get her vaccinations, and this place is very nice. It's very basic, meaning that you are here for such a very short time there's no seating. You wait in your vehicle until it's your turn. When it's time for your appointment, you go inside, and you are there for about 10 minutes. The inside is very clean and the staff are great. Super nice people. You have to make an appointment online, and they're only on Thursday, but it's so worth it. The vaccinations are very cheap. With the amount of money you save doing vaccinations here, you will have money left over to donate.
I came here about 4 years ago now to adopt my little honey Willow. They initially had the wrong name tag up for her and it said her name was "Mama," but after I expressed my interest and someone pulled her paperwork, they said her name is Willow and I thought it was perfect for her already so I kept her name. She is now 9 years old and living a spoiled girl life. She loves being an only cat and is very playful. Willow was free because she is FIV+ and I really thank the HSNT for helping me meet my Willow. 5 stars because I love her more than anything and adoption was a super easy process. I filled out the paperwork, got a voucher to take her to the vet within 30 days, and took her home.
I love this location. Always very clean and the employees are friendly and helpful every time. We have adopted multiple babies from here and never had a single bad experience!
Tim and staff were so kind and compassionate. We said goodbye to a beloved family member, and Tim was very reassuring and empathetic throughout the process. When we are ready, we will seek our next rescue family member from this wonderful organization.
Thank you for rescuing the abandoned puppies I took in! I will miss them but I know they’re in good hands now 🩷 Everyone I encountered here was a wonderful person with a true heart for animals! I contacted over 150 shelters and rescues and this is the only place that responded. I couldn’t have asked for a better resource for these puppies! I feel like they rescued me too.
