We brought our German Shepherd, Charlie, in to induce vomiting after he ate something that could have caused a blockage. The staff was very friendly and doted on our boy while they quickly took care of him. Kat at the front desk kept us distracted with fun conversation in the meantime. They were all very understanding of the vocal nature of his breed (he likes to “scream” when he meets new people out of excitement) despite the fact that it was 4:30 am and even complimented him for his sweet temperament. Thank you Dr. Kitagaki and crew!!

We had a scary night with our dog Frank and decided to bring him into the emergency clinic, thankfully it was not as serious as we had thought and he is on the mend. This was my first experience with Bend Animal Emergency and it was a great experience despite reason we were there. The staff were quick to get Frank diagnosed and stable, they kept us informed the whole time and the doctor was very personable, empathetic and supportive. They provide snacks and beverages and every staff was kind and empathetic. Thank you BAE for all that you do.

Prompt and attentive. If you need to go here you are in distress with your furbaby, but I felt like my pup was in good hands and staff was warm despite dealing with an emergency surgery all hands on deck situation when I arrived with my pup. Would recommend.

In a surprising and scary time for my dog's health, the BAE team took excellent care of him…and me! They checked us in swiftly during an emergency, started treatment as conservatively as possible, and when that didn't work quickly moved to a sure bet in treatment, which in my dog's case was surgical inoculation. They showed genuine care and experienced confidence throughout, putting me more at ease in a scary and emotional situation. After the procedure, they were thorough in their discharge instructions leaving plenty of time for questions. They even followed up with our vet to notify them of the procedure so the vet could follow up with us. Highly recommend this team!

Brought our Great Dane in for critical watch and surgery. At first I was impressed at the fact they “shut down” when they had a critical case and do not accept anymore patients so they can go all hands on deck. Our Dane suffered from bloat and we already took him in late (this was after the massive snow storm and couldn’t get out the driveway) when they received him they explained the price and how the surgery would go. In the middle of surgery we got the call telling us that he was loosing a lot of blood and that they recommended taking his stomach so this didn’t happen again, us being worried we agreed. After surgery he needed donor blood and that they were optimistic on his recovery. A couple days later we were able to bring home our dog because he was showing improvement. That’s when so realized how bad of condition he was in, he had to be on so much medication because of the pain they had him on IVs so they didn’t know if he would drink on his own (he couldn’t) and he wouldn’t even try to eat that caused me to have to try and feed/water him through a syringe. He ended passing the following day, he stoped moving causing mucus to get in his lungs and he had to relieve himself on his bed, wouldn’t take his pills or drink water. They took advantage of us costing us well over 10,000 dollars when they knew this was too risky and he wouldn’t make it “on his own”. They knew from the beginning that funds were tight that’s why we had a fixed price (or we thought). Now we are in debt with a empty house. Euthanizing should have been advised when they knew the damage. We were going to bring him in when things turned for the worst but we ended up calling explaining we needed to cancel because he passed away in our arms, they didn’t even sound sympathetic…. They got what they wanted, Money. Please do your research before bringing in a pet.

We were very impressed with everyone in the office, Dr Stone was a great vet, we felt reassured by him and the care our dog received. The girl at the desk (Katherine) helped me tremendously to calm down from near panic by chatting with me about things, like her dog.🤗 So thankful that your clinic was there, especially as it was Christmas Eve! So my son woke up to our dog being safe at home, best present we could ask for!
