We found a fur baby with special needs. Hiccup is adjusting quite nicely. He is constantly learning how to walk run and play all on three legs. He is a very happy boy!!
I enjoyed my visit. Good, clean, mellow environment for the rescues. The staff was helpful. It was beautiful watching an adoption happen.
I found a German Shepard and turned her into the “humane” society. This poor dog clearly wasn’t taken care of. I spent four hours brushing her and spent the night with her in our spare room. She kept barking at her own reflection in the window. I could tell she was good with people but had a high prey drive. I waited a week for the owner to claim their dog. When I went in to check on her status they said they euthanized her! Didn’t even give her a chance. I would have adopted her and worked with her. I’m so furious. This place is a kill shelter and I will NEVER bring another animal to this place.
By far the WEIRDEST human society I have ever adopted from. I adopted a kitten a month ago, It was not working out with my current cat and I started to find her a new home. This humane society had the nerve to call me from a “no caller ID” saying it was brought to their attention the kitten isn’t working out. The lady was extremely rude when I told her she could absolutely not give out my information to the other person who wanted her before. Mind you they DO NOT refund you for a animal if it doesn’t workout unless it’s for a health related reason, and the other lady who wanted her made me extremely uncomfortable waiting for me to see if I’d adopt her and then pressing her body against mine saying “enjoy that kitten” the whole entire situation is so bizarre I would not adopt from them again. Also the blonde lady with glasses who works there kept pressuring me for a photo with the cat. I had to tell her NO three times. I have donated $30 just to hold the cats I ended up adopting(which doesn’t go toward a rehoming fee) And they feel so entitled to contact me when it’s none of their business. I would stay far away from this place. I should let everyone know they are “so worried” about their animals up for adoption but both cats I adopted had EAR MITES and WORMS they gave to my other cat. I have the proof of the vet bill for that too.
Adopted a very lovable kitten (Prince William) last week, he is such a delightful and loving kitten, his foster parent did a great job, thank you for such an amazing addition to our family. We found the staff to be caring and kind while we went through the adoption process. You deserve more than 5 stars.
My son just adopted two adorable guinea pigs, Laverne and Shirley, that lived in a great big cage at the Humane Society Thrift Store. Staff member Nova was so accommodating, so helpful and made this a great adoption experience. She helped my son get a super deal on a cage and contributed food, bedding and some accessories in addition to putting all her other duties on hold to help process this adoption. Thank you Nova!
