This was our first visit to East Clinic. While the doctor was gentle with kitties and thoughtful, I don’t think I’ll be returning. The front desk person wasn’t too welcoming when I walked in originally, which is fine if that’s how they want to conduct themselves to new patrons. However, it did not give me reassurance this is a right place for my beloved pets. Secondly, I was a little pressured to scheduled an appointment right away for blood and teeth work. My cats are healthy and have a little plaque. I won’t pay $1500 per cat to do this. In nature cats live just fine being exposed to all sorts of risks and as long as domestics cats do without any care. I understand they try to do their job, but be aware a lot of services clinics offer aren’t necessary, unless there is a serious health issue. I appreciated that my cats received two mini pillows with cat nip. They started engage with it at home right away and hopefully getting relaxed after the appointment.

An amazing cat clinic. The staff works amazing with my two felines and go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience for my kitties and myself. Prices are great for the services they provide as well! The office is clean, friendly, and has a unique modern style. Definitely recommend this place for any Madison residents within the area.

They treat prescription cat food like it's Xanax. No one wants to buy their cat expensive food, are you joking. I have an appointment scheduled for 4/25 and they make it such a hassle to even re-new his prescription cat food. I had to beg over the phone. They do not care about the customer OR THE CAT. Human doctors are happy to prescribed medication take for YEARS to humans if they have a physical scheduled. I have never not shown up or canceled an appointment by the way.....

I took my cat in for a general exam and two vaccinations. My initial visit was $200. The visit went fine, but my cat was definitely getting stressed and was ready to go. They mentioned the risk of a reaction to the vaccine, and I took my cat home about 20 minutes after she got the injections. Once we got home, she began vomiting, so I called the clinic right away. They told me to bring her back immediately, which I did. The vet told me she would benefit from two more injections to treat the reaction, despite her looking healthy and the lack of continued vomiting. They would charge me another $90+. Of course, I would do anything for my pet, so I chose to get the shots, trusting their opinion. However, I was left waiting for nearly 30 minutes with only a 10 second check-in saying they are "preparing the shots". I don't understand how this would take that long. If this is something important for cats that are potentially having a serious reaction, this injection should be ready quickly. Considering they thought it was so urgent, that I had told them I didn't have much time, and that my cat and I were both clearly stressed out, I found it extremely disrespectful to be left waiting that long. From what I could tell, no one else was in the clinic, so there is really no reason that my cat should not have been first priority. After so much waiting, my cat seemed much better, aside from shaking with stress (which may have caused the vomiting in the first place), so I made the decision to leave. I will not be returning. Care Clinic cares way more about money than the wellbeing of your pet.

Absolutely the best vet and staff! My cat is treated with kindness, love and respect as a patient here. The staff makes the visit so seamless and easy for the humans too. Dr. Kelton is quick and thorough while answering all questions and recommendations are for what is necessary only. The waiting room and exam rooms are spotless. Will be returning as a life long customer!

I moved from Milwaukee to Madison this summer and this was my cat’s first vet appointment here. I arrived 15 minutes early for my 2pm appointment and was brought to an exam room immediately so I could let my cat out of her carrier (a torturous device). The room was very clean and had climbing shelves on the walls (which my cat did not utilize). Around 1:57pm, the vet tech came in and apologized for the wait (she was early for my appointment time by 3 minutes). The vet came in after preliminary questioning by the vet tech. We went through the exam and my concerns and devised multiple ways to proceed, all with varying cost levels. We decided on a course of action I was comfortable with financially. Both the vet tech and very were very gentle and loving with my cat The vet was very open to any and all questions and concerns and everyone was very polite. Since my visit, I’ve been able to email my vet questions about treatment and the clinic has followed up on my visit once via email and once via phone. Very attentive. I had read reviews about this clinic being expensive, but it had an overall high rating on google AND is just for cats, so I chose it. Since I’m new to Madison, I’m unsure if this vet is more expensive than others. In Milwaukee, at our vet, an exam/consultation was $62 and at this clinic it was $80. Even if it is more expensive, I will continue going to Cat Care Clinic due to it's cleanliness, politeness of staff and care and knowledge of the vet tech and vet.
