These folks are very caring, helpful and accommodating. We have 8 outside feral kitties who adopted us. We made an appointment at FoF to have them neutered/spayed, give them their inoculations and rabies injections. Done-no problems. These people are totally devoted to helping cats live longer, better and healthier lives.
I’m a vet tech of 17 years specializing in feline medicine. My fiance and I tried to adopt a cat named Esme who had at the time a recent enucleation. I messed up dates and missed the appointment to meet with friends of felines (my fault), rescheduled and they were very rude. They did meet with me and let me have time with esme, but they were so weird and paranoid. People like this are why cats end up forever in adoption and ultimately euthanized. If someone is willing to have a home inspection, works for a feline veterinary practice, and will pay the $200 fee then there’s no reason to believe they have alternative intentions. I also noticed that the adoption fees for purebreds were upwards of $1200…. Mmmm
Im giving them a 3 because they do a lot of good. We tried to adopt from them but communication was lacking. If we requested to adopt a cat, they didnt respond for days and then it wasnt avail. We expressed as closely as we could what our circumstances were ( pets we all ready had) but they kept offering us older cats that did not get along with others. We ended up working with a different rescue and had our girls within the week. That rescue communicated and were interested in placing their cats in forever homes. Sadly I cant recomend adoption with them.
Need Help Bad with A feral Cat who is Suffering Severly with some kinda infection WILL NOT GO IN A TRAP... If he dont get help soon he or She will Die... Its really sad. Please Help this little Girl.
I recently worked with Faith in adopting a kitten. She has been prompt in responding to my texts, even after the adoption, as I have asked her for her opinion and suggestions concerning my new kitten. Faith truly cares. I highly recommend Friends of Felines!
They spey, neuter and give shots to around 1000 feral cats a year. This helps stop the explosion of feral cat breeding and disease spread. Very worthy charity. Strictly volunteer work.
