I'm still grieving the loss of my cat toffee. We took her here in November 2023. She was eating and drinking excessively, peeing so much it got on her/stuck to her, and peeing outside the litter box. When we took her she got blood work done, and we were told we would be called if something was wrong. We waited a month and there was no call, but toffee was still acting the same so we called instead. The front desk answers and first they refuse to say anything about the results over the phone, saying we needed to wait for the vet and come in. We were not having it. Finally she told us that her glucose was extremely high, and she probably has diabetes. We were in shock. We waited by the phone for a call, checked every email and voice-mail, there was NOTHING. the vet made us seem crazy, he basically blamed us saying he "did make a call" but he is flat out lying. We take our animals health seriously, we were expecting a call. Anyway, we take toffee in AGAIN and he diagnosed her with diabetes. He then says that giving insulin shots is harder, and toffee could begin to be afraid of getting them, so the pill form "bexacat" might be a better option. he says it's FDA approved, and he has a few other cats on it at the moment. He told us NOTHING about DKA, all the necessary tests you need to do before taking bexacat, nothing. At. All. We TRUSTED him, he said he has 15 years of experience, so i felt safe with toffee and okay in his decisions. We left with toffee that day with only a glucose check up and the bexacat. 2 days pass, she was doing okay, but then day 3 she wouldn't take her medicine, wouldn't eat or drink, and could hardly move. I knew something was deadly wrong, and we quickly took her back to the vet after calling him. When we get there, he does a glucose check and gives her a nausea shot because she threw up, and then says her glucose is extremely low. I told him that I'm scared for her and she's not acting right at all, and he says she COULD BE GOING INTO REMISSION ALREADY. he then says she's acting normal in the back, and im baffled because he again made me feel crazy. So he says don't give her medicine today, feed her soft food (which I already told him she was not eating ANYTHING.) And to give her medicine when she eats again. Then he says come back Monday, and we leave. She ends up peeing in the carrier which NEVER happened before, and then i take her home. 3 days of torture and agony. I had to see my cat slowly die. He kept telling us that she was fine, yet she did not eat a single thing, she ended up falling down every time she tried to move. I had to syringe feed her food, water, and clean her up after she kept peeing on herself. I had to pick her up from place to place because her back legs gave out. We ended up getting money together on Sunday because we couldn't wait till Monday to see the vet who had lied to us. We took her to the emergency 24 hour vet, who examined her for a good while and gave us a hefty amount of news. She told us bexacat should never of been prescribed to toffee, and that there is a bunch of different tests you are supposed to do before prescribing bexacat, and if these were not done, it could result in DKA and death. The emergency vet here was so concerned about the practices our normal vet has done, and we told her he did NONE of those things. Only ever did blood work once, and 2-3 glucose checks. He told us she could go into REMISSION. The emergency vet said toffee needs fluids, and to be monitored for up to a week and it would be almost 10,000, but it might not even work. She could still die any way, or she could get better but it keeps repeating, and she was in so much pain. We had to PUT HER DOWN. she was only SIX YEARS OLD. I love her more than anything, I am still grieving and I am not okay. I will never get her back, this vet is a joke and I would never trust my animals with him again. He is very clearly in it for money, not for the value of animals and the care and love. Most of the front desk are kind and sweet, but a few of them and the vet truly disgust me.

I had just adopted an 8 week old kitten and took her PSPCA. The open spots for vet clinic were filled and gave me Pet Health Center number . They said prices were comparable to them and they were close. I called, was able to get an appt within 30 min! Mire importantly, they were kind, sympathetic, listened to me and were gentle with Betty. I was very happy with the doctor, vet tech and even the girls at front desk. Very welcoming. The vet explained everything to me so that i I understood. You expect a vet and the people who work there to be kind and gentle and show the animals some love. Not so. I have been to one that wasn't. Pet Health Center is wonderful and will be back for her vaccines, et.al. photos: Betty in carrier at vet. Betty a week later. TY PHC!!

(Incompetent)I do not trust the vet anymore I believe he killed my cat with not following procedures have been taking my animals here for a while and my cat was having some issues with peeing a lot excessive thirst and losing wait so we took her she got blood work and first they never called with the results so I thought she was good but she was still having issues so I called the vet back and they said her blood sugar was high which we didn't find out till January we went back in and he explained she was diabetic and suggested new med bexacat so we started that two days later she started not eating and hiding we took her back again to the vet and he tested her glucose and said it was 100 gave her a shot for vomiting and said come back Monday this was a Thursday we were feeding her water with a dropper and broth she was just getting worse so we took her to emergency hospital hear the bexacat caused dka and the cat had to be put down she should have never been put on bexacat i believe my cat would still be here if never prescribed bexacat or we were called with her lab results without proper testing please do your own research dont make my mistake I feel like it's just about money

horrible experience paid $400 for treatment and ended up having to take my puppy to an emergency hospital a few days later. Was told he only had an “upset stomach” come to find out my pup had an intestinal blockage!! If I would’ve listened to Pet Health my poor pup wouldn’t be here. I’m so grateful I went with my gut and got him evaluated elsewhere. On the bright side Veterinary Emergency Group is simple amazing!!! I definitely would head there instead.

My dog hasn’t been feeling well and is unpredictable with being around other animals. I tried contacting vets that come to your house and had no luck called another vet that my dog previously seen and was told it wasn’t their problem. After a google search I found this wonderful place. Called at 11 and they could see him right away. When I explained my concern with him being around other dogs they were so kind to say they help by making sure no one was in the waiting area just call them when we got there. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t found such a caring office who treated me and my fur baby so well. The doctor was so helpful he explained everything went over the x-rays with me and made me leave feeling better about my baby condition. The other staff were great too. I wish I would have gotten her name because she treated my baby with so much care. This will definitely be our boys new office I couldn’t be more happier with the experience we had with them today and the love and cares they showed.
