Description At PAWSitive Veterinary of New York, we offer a range of preventative and wellness services – including exams, vaccinations, intestinal parasite testing and control, heartworm testing and prevention, FeLV/FIV testing, microchipping, nutrition, and more. We can also treat your pet should they become sick from illness or injury. At this time, we do not see critical and/or emergency care, though there are several clinics we work with throughout the area that can provide these services if needed.

Dr. Coletti is an absolute gem: very sharp, kind, communicative and clear, efficient, forthcoming with explanations, and happy to answer our many questions/talk through all available options, associated costs, risks, and urgency. Have also had great experiences with Anthony Gonzalez, who's proved to be a kind and gentle tech, handling our (often anxious in the vet) dog with care. Overall staff is kind and cordial. Relatively inexpensive as far as vets go. Always quick to get an appointment. Have tried a couple of the vets in the area and we definitely prefer PAWSitive.
The staff is great, they’re so nice and accommodating. The doctors took very good care of my boy when he was going through a hard time. And I don’t feel like the prices were extraordinary. Dr. Perry took the time to explain everything to me in a way that was simple to understand. I highly recommend this neighborhood vet!
I do not recommend this vet. I went for the first time with my new kitten recently, and that would be the last. The environment isn’t very welcoming, except for the receptionist, who was extremely kind. I felt very judged by the vet after I told her I received my kitten from a breeder (although I’ve adopted countless cats as well). I had planned on a simple wellness visit (no shots were needed yet), and still ended up leaving with a $160 bill. A fecal exam was recommended - which I agreed to. The vet then TOLD me she would put Revolution on him for fleas/ticks. She did not ask me, nor did she give me the price. She then proceeded to take my cat to the back to “show him” to everyone. After what felt like forever, we were given the kitten and left. I felt very uneasy that my kitten was in the back for such a long time considering he was just supposed to be given a topical medication. I should have spoken up, but the entire situation caught me completely off guard. My kitten is not a toy to be paraded around the whole office, and I did not appreciate that at all. I left that facility feeling uncomfortable and taken advantage of. Luckily my pet insurance reimbursed me for the majority of this visit, but I will not be returning to this vet.
I've been taking my beagle mix, Jackson to Dr. Perry for several years now and I'm always very pleased with the professionalism and care they give. While I'd love for the clinic to reopen for in-person appointments (my dog is an anxious little dude), they are doing a fantastic job with the drop-off system. The cost of care is eminently reasonable and I'm very glad to have them nearby.
Very dissapointed. I called on a Monday and told receptionist I needed to come in because my doggie was in a lot of pain She bluntly told me “were booked” and told me she could fit me in for the following Monday. I asked her to have Dr Perry call me so I could describe his symptoms , but I never got that call. 2 days later my doggie of 14 yrs died.. He was Dr Perrys loyal patient for over 12 yrs. Since he was a pup. I took his body there the next day to be cremated and till this day( its been a month )I have yet to hear frm Dr Perry, not a call, Text, card or email to express sympathy or to say “sorry for your loss” No sign of empathy for a client whose been with you for over a decade. I even wrote a letter expressing my disappointment in not hearing frm her. Its been a-month and still no response.. I was very happy when Pawsitive first opened up in the area. Walking distance frm me. Been taking my furbaby there since he was a pup and have been a loyal client for approximately 12 yrs. Dr Perry great vet. In the beginning they were very compassionate & caring but as the yrs went by that seemed to change I always felt rushed. I was even given the wrong pawprints that belonged to another dog after my dog was cremated. No compassion, no sympathy I thought those were traits that were part of being a veterinarian. Im truly disapointed because Neyo was your loyal patient for over a decade. He deserved at least a text to say “Sorry for your loss”
I've been taking my two dogs to this vet for 8+ months now and have had good experiences with the various check-up and now procedures we have done there. Dawn and the admin staff are particularly noteworthy for their ability to keep all the medical information flowing as it needs to under pressure. We had a few claw surgery there and it went well.
