I just had my first appointment and couldn’t be happier to have found such a wonderful vet practice. The staff is all super kind. My 7 yr old Shiba/Jindo rescue is a pretty nervous pup at the vet but they were patient and kind and she warmed up quickly. Appointments are easy to schedule, I felt heard and never rushed, the entire staff is lovely. Great experience. Highly recommend!

Heart of Brooklyn VH is helping us have more years with our beloved feline! What really sets this vet apart from other pet doctors is their facilities and staff. For example they have a portable ultrasound machine that they use to take urine samples for kidney function and glucose level detection. The better gear and kind, knowledgeable staff helped us switch our cat’s diet at Stage 1 (out of 4) kidney failure. They are heads and tails above the 2 other pet care facilities we’ve used with our 2 cats.

The office employees at this vet office are unorganized and incompetent. Not only are their staff difficult to deal with, the prices here are too high and how the office explains their cost structure is not clear. We set up an appointment for our 2 dogs on 12/23. They got their puppy vaccines and wellness exam. They asked us to bring in a stool and urine sample and have yet to receive the results as of today January 8. We also asked them to put both parents' names on the office records/copies of the invoices and they said they cannot change it? They had computer issues that did not allow them to email us the itemized list of what was administered for them that day. Then never followed up with us on sending us the updated copies. We've had to call them several times to get the updated invoice and stool/urine sample results and kept being told 24-48 hours after our call. If you're going to this vet because it's convenient for you due to the location, try another vet. There are other options that are more affordable and organized.

I recently visited this veterinary clinic for the first and last time with my dog, despite having read poor reviews, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the level of care provided by Dr. Elanna Spiegel, who was an UNTRAINED fill-in position veterinarian. Start off, the vet scale mat was dirty, and when I asked the assistant to clean it for hygiene reasons, she said it's was only dusk, but it had physical stains on it. I was redirected to a different room with a smaller scale. When the veterinarian Dr. Spiegel came into the room she was standoffish and rushed throughout the appointment, lacking knowledge in key areas and showing little interest in addressing my concerns. She recommended injecting my dog with nausea medication without fully explaining the benefits or risks and became pushy when I expressed hesitation, stating that he would die if he didn't receive it. She actually was playing the guessing game without fully assessing my dog who came there as an emergency visit. She also criticized his diet and rushed me to leave to get ready for the next without providing follow-up care or showing compassion, citing another patient waiting to be seen. Dr. Spiegel's attitude was passive-aggressive. She lacked bedside manners, insensitive to my dog's serious condition and I was overall unhappy with the experience. I expect a higher standard of care and expertise from a veterinarian. It was a waste of time and money. As a fur mommy, please, as a life saver, don't send your fur baby to this place. There is better elsewhere.

I want to be transparent in noting that I did not have any services here however, I was scheduled to. My initial appointment at this location, I was running late, tried to call to let them know. They informed me about their strict 10 mins lateness policy and how after that you will have to reschedule, I decided to reschedule for the following day. (never went into the office, just rerouted back home) The following day it was pouring raining and although I did my best to take the proper precautions I arrived 13 mins late (due to traffic and weather) they let me know they will be unable to service my cat and that I d have to reschedule again for an appointment. I politely declined. The reason for the 1 star review is due to the attitude and mannerisms of the staff at this location. I rarely write reviews because of the time consumption associated with it however, I thought it beneficial that if anyone were to read this and decided to go somewhere else, due to this review, it would be worth it. I am in no way saying I wasn’t late, thus creating the problem however, due to the circumstances accommodations should be considered and attitudes should be adjusted. Do as you please, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I never write reviews but I’m pretty upset about this and felt like pet owners should be aware The first 2 times I brought my dog here, I thought they went well — the vet was great. This time, I brought my dog in because I suspected he had an ear infection and it was another vet who I hadn’t interacted with before. It was honestly pretty obvious even with the naked eye to see that he had abnormal amounts of dark debris in his ear. He was really anxious but they proceeded with the exam and “swabbed” his ears (without looking or examining the inside of his ear) — then told me there was no sign of an ear infection. I was very suspect of this but decided to believe the vet. My dog’s ears continued to get worse until I finally decided to get a second opinion. This vet immediately stated he had a pretty severe ear infection that didn’t need a microscope to see. Of course it’s probably worse than it was 2 weeks ago when I came here but I still saw with my own eyes the buildup in his ears at that point and suspected an ear infection so it’s bizarre to me that they sent me home telling me he didn’t have one. And still charged me for the full price of an exam and cytology.
