I live in the city of Pittsburgh and they have/had a program for neutering and spaying animals. I signed up for the program and waited and waited for a phone call to get this feral cat fixed. No reply. Then I found out that the program was on hold. I called up Animal Friends and got an appointment within a week. So happy. Our little feral, Pumpkin, is wearing his collar now. We are keeping him as an inside cat. Pumpkin is a Creamsicle cat, orange and white. He is a gentle-natured cat who just appeared on our porch. Pumpkin was only about 8 months old at the time. He was friendly and beautiful. Animal Friends enabled us to calm this lovely cat down. When we first brought him inside during the brutal cold in January, he had been bitten on the neck by a dog. But Pumpkin still wanted out and was crying and climbing the curtains. Needless to say, he has calmed down. Thank you, Animal Friends for all your kindness and help.

I had my little kitty girl spayed this week. They did a great job. The incision is not even swollen or bloody. I am so glad that they offer the post op laser. It helps the healing. She came home and started to eat. I was afraid she’d get sick but no. She didn’t get sick or anything. 24 hours after her surgery, she was already playing with her favorite toy. They were kind and patient. When I picked her up, they took time with each person to go through if the surgery went well, what to do and all the info you need going home. Highly recommend taking your pet there. I’ll be coming back when it’s time for her booster vaccines. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby. She’s doing great

Saw a cat on the website and came in on a Friday night to visit and adopt him. Volunteers gave me really good info about his medical history so I knew what he would need. Very smooth adoption process and they knew his personality very well.

Our rescue kitty had a bad eye that unfortunately had to come out. They saw us right away and handled everything so wonderfully. I highly recommend Animal Friends! He's so much better now than before. We think he's had this problem for some time. But he's happy now. Just like nothing ever happened. Thank you all so much 🙏

Called this place because a cat was stuck in a tree pretty high up and I didn't know what to do or who to contact about it. They gave me all the correct information about how to get this (what I thought was a cat but ended up being a small kitten) out of the tree. Also ended up finding the owner. Glad I called the women that spoke to me was so friendly and helpful and very informative as I am a dog person and don't know much about cats. These people really are the best and I am so thankful they exist. Thank you for helping a panicked dog lady save a kitten stuck in a tree.

The staff here are so nice. It was my first time at this place and it’s so beautiful inside and out! Sadly this is where my dog got put too sleep at on march 27th but so glad we chose this place for his last breath ❤️. Thank you so much to the kind people that works here!
