Description Animal Advocates is a nonprofit, all volunteer, Pittsburgh-based animal rescue organization involved in the rescue, care and adoption of companion animals. Serving the Pittsburgh area since 1984, Animal Advocates has adhered to a no-kill policy and engaged in community based advocacy on behalf of animals since its inception. We aim to provide high quality care for the well-being of rescued cats and dogs until they are placed in forever homes. We believe the relationship between a human and companion animal is an important bond that improves the physical and social well-being of individuals and the community at large. this is one of my favorite thrift stores. all the money goes to helping animals, you can adopt a cat here as the upstairs houses cats for adoption, all of the volunteers are very nice n go above n beyond, and the prices are unbeatable. I don't want to write this great review because I want to be greedy n keep this gem for myself but they truly deserve to be recognized for the glorious job they do.

A great little place for thrifting. Nice collection of local sports items, nick knacks and other misc items. And frankie is the best cat.

A small thrift store in the Pittsburgh West End that supports cat rescues and adoptions. Store is run by volunteers who are friendly and very caring. Have gotten a few items from them through the years that I have been stopping by. They have the best catnip cat toys, homemade by a volunteer, that my cats love! Stop by and take a look at the items or the store kitty.

Such a great little thrift store that helps animals. I've gotten some cool knick knacks here, and my boyfriend adopted the sweetest cat ever from them. I'm so glad they're in my neighborhood!

A really nice store with LOTS of items to choose from! The store is beautifully laid out...I was surprised how large it was. You are greeted by wonderful volunteers who make you feel welcome. A great place to shop and to know your purchases go to a great cause!
