Description Whiskers is Kansas City's first ever cat cafe and coffeehouse! Reservations are recommended for the cat lounge- please check out our website! Come enjoy a cup of coffee while interacting with cats -- who are also available to adopt through KC Pet Project, we might add! For the safety of both kitties and humans, we limit the number of people in the cat lounge at one time, so please reserve your spot ahead of time as walk-in space is limited! Our coffeehouse is directly next door to our cat lounge and is open with a full service coffee bar Wednesday-Sunday 11:00am-8:00pm! Proudly serving Messenger Coffee! So many babies!! This cat cafe is perfect. The cats have plenty of room to roam around and can get some private time if they need it. This is the most chill I’ve seen cats in this environment. There are plenty of seating areas and even with a few different groups of people you can spread out and not feel like the area is crowded. The coffee was also very tasty and they have lots of merch you can buy. I would highly recommend visiting if you need some cats in your life.

The cats were cute and sweet. They were all very sleepy when we were there though so there wasn’t much to do besides gentle head pets and looking at them and enjoying how cute they were. We still really enjoyed our time though. It was definitely worth how cheap it was at least. The prices on their merch and treats are extremely reasonable

Fantastic cat cafe — the cats are clearly well cared for and socialized, and it’s not overcrowded in a way that might stress out the cats (or be too smelly for people, either). Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Decor is cute and provides lots of enrichment to the cats. And the cats are wonderfully friendly, with a number being happy to come take a nap next to you while you work 🥹 They have 6 permanent resident cats that are the friendliest, which lets the adoptable cats slowly come out of their shells, which I wish more cat cafes were good about. Highly recommended! (And please, adopt one of the cats here!)

Such a cute place! Plenty of sweet cats and drink options. The staff are really nice too - you can tell they love the cats so much! They also have special events, like cat painting and cat yoga. Well worth a visit!

Awesome place! Grab a cup of coffee and get your pet on. The cafe offers a good selection of drinks. Order a specialty latte named after one of the resident cats. Make sure you make a reservation, they only allow a certain number of people in the cat lounge to not overwhelm the kitties. You do not need a reservation to go in for some coffee, only for the cat lounge. We missed the part about the reservation but we got lucky that they had someone drop and we were able to sign up. You get a thirty minute window to go in to the room. You can pet the resting cats, have them climb onto your lap, or play around with the energetic kittens. They have resident cats and also cats that are up for adoption. My favorite guy was Sir Grumps, beautiful chonker cat with a chill attitude. I did not know what a chonker was but we read a cool little book about it in the cafe while we waited for our turn. They also have a little store where you can pick up art, snacks, toys, coffee and clothing items. The cafe offers some games and books to keep you busy or to enjoy your coffee and pastry. They also offer cat yoga on Tuesdays. Enjoy y'all!

Whiskers Cat Cafe & Coffeehouse provides a wonderful, long lasting experience. From the GREAT service that is provided by happy people to delectable treats, delicious coffee or your drink choice. It has a very relaxing atmosphere with soothing music. The wonderful Cats are the essence of the place. Providing so much more than simply playing with the Cats. It’s therapy for my Child. Whiskers Cat Cafe has brought freedom from my Child’s anxiety. My Child's states, “Here I can breathe!” Through spending time with the Cats here, it gives my Child the ability to communicate comfortably with people. With tears of joy, I am SO grateful to Audrey (Owner) for creating a safe space, not only for Cats but for People as well. Thank you Audrey, Staff and Cats for being such a blessing!
