Dr. Beckman, and the staff here are excellent! I have a senior dog. We just hit 17 this year. They have really tailored their care to his needs. They make us both so comfortable every time we come. We travel constantly, and they are always very helpful with pet travel documents, and any vaccs needed. Thank you again to Dr. Beckmann & Staff! Special thanks to Rian as well! Keep up all your amazing work!

We love our new vet! The office is terrific, staff are great, very responsive. We like the fact that they are also a rescue/foundation. Prices also seem very reasonable.

(Updated 07/2024) I rated this vet over three years ago, and my rating has not changed. They truly care about your animals. The reason I am updating my review is because recently I lost my pet and for Dr. Beckman to reach out, showed me that she truly cared about my dog. In addition, the staff and Dr. Lamarsh have been wonderful throughout the years and the condolences they sent on card meant the world. I've had two pets (along with family members' pets) under their care and it has been nothing but excellent. Thank you all for you all do.

My dog is a bit of a pill, and SAF has been so good with him that I think he might be getting better about his vet fear. They take excellent care of him, and they always see him quickly when he is sick. He has had one serious health scare, and Dr. Beckman explained the options to me clearly, keeping in mind his issues. Highly recommend.

Beware of the food you purchase from the Southern Animal Foundation!! I purchased a bag of expensive prescription food for my cat, only to realize days later that there was a hole in the bag that was purposefully covered with the prescription label. They did not disclose this before purchase. After I noticed and brought it back for a refund they were unapologetic and said that it happens sometimes when they come off of the truck. I asked for a new one without a hole, since that's what I stupidly assumed I was getting the first time, and they said they didn't have any. My best guess is that this was the last bag, and instead of informing me of the defect, they decided to deceive me and make a quick buck. I believe it is unethical for them to sell opened food under the guise that it is new and unopened. I received a refund with no issues, but I no longer trust SAF and will be seeking veterinary care for my cat elsewhere.

Very pleased with SAF, from receptionist to vet! Small clinic that shows more individual focus on your fur child. Definitely enjoyed my experience and accommodations for my GSD!
