Amazing rescue that puts the animals first. Taking care of animals is a lot of work and they consistently care for all animals, no matter how smelly! Their adoption process is adequate, not too much not too little. Grateful for this compassionate and hardworking establishment!

Our family was trying to rescue one of the dogs at Rolling River Rescue. We have a wonderful two year old dog that is not fixed. We had spoke to our Veterinarian when we first got him about all our options to neuter him and at what age. With the doctor, we decided not to neuter him, this is our same veterinarian that we've had all our dogs with for over 20 years. Side note all out dogs live to 17 to 18 years. Our current dog is perfectly healthy, well-mannered around other dogs and kids as well as well trained. I spend lots of time training my dogs with love and positive treat giving as reward. Rolling River Ranch doesn't care if you're good to dogs or that you can offer them a forever home. They want dogs neutered. They stated since my dog isn't a pure breed there is no reason I shouldn't neuter my dog. They told me no exceptions, except if my dog is a champion breed. I called my friend who rescues dogs from all over American especially during natural disaster. I wanted a better understanding because this place only cared about me neutering my dog. She told me there are a few different ways to go about this. One being a note from your vet saying that this dog can't be neuter for medical reason. The people who work Rolling River Ranch didn't even care to mention that. They were more do what we want or you get nothing. If that is a practicing policy, its faulted. This place is a my way or highway place and even though claims to care about getting these animals adopted, don't seem to. I really didn't want to post this because my friend told me how difficult it is with rescues here in the south. However, considering how they acted with us, I believe others should know before involving themselves with this non-profit.
