I got my rescue from the sanctuary. They are so helpful and explaining on what to expect for the next few months with your new cat is they adjust to a new living situation. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to rescue a cat

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary. I visited this shelter hoping to adopt a male black cat. I was directed here by Petco as part of their partnership with the sanctuary. Upon arriving, I was disheartened by the shelter's condition, which was rundown and had a strong odor of cat urine. Despite the unwelcoming environment, the staff member I met was friendly. My intention was to find a cat that needed a home, and I adopted Oliver, a male black kitten from Petco's Calallen location, which works with the sanctuary. However, the adoption process was vague and uninformative. Essential information about Oliver's medical background, including neutering and vaccination details, was poorly handled and never communicated. After bringing Oliver home, he refused to eat or drink. When I reached out to the sanctuary for guidance and to possibly correct any mistakes regarding his food, I received no response. It wasn't until I informed them that I was taking Oliver to the vet due to his deteriorating condition that they returned my call. I was then shockingly told that his littermates were also sick and that I could return him for treatment or "just get another cat" if he didn't survive. This response was cold and completely inappropriate, treating a living being as if it were a mere commodity. After spending $1,200 on medical care, including medication and subcutaneous fluids, Oliver had a full recovery. However, the sanctuary never provided any medical or vaccination records, despite multiple requests. Furthermore, their lack of follow-up or even a simple apology was astonishing. I am deeply disappointed by both Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary and Petco for their handling of this situation. It's heartbreaking to think of the other animals in their care, especially Oliver's littermates. I hope this review prompts Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary to implement significant changes in their operations and animal care practices. Adopting Oliver was not something I regret, but I do regret entrusting his well-being to a facility so poorly managed.

Went to Edgar and Ivy's Cat Sanctuary to adopt a kitten, best decision ever! So grateful that I got my bundle of joy . His name is Topaz ,he's gotten pretty big since I first adopted him,which was about a year ago but overall he's an amazing little dude and has brought so much joy and comfort to our home . There's literally nothing I wouldn't do for this cat , I'd move heaven and earth for him if I had to ,no questions asked ! Thinking about adopting another kitten,a girl this time . I think Topaz needs a play mate here when I'm gone off to work .

get yourself a cat now! if you're seeing this a cat you want is probably about to be afopted and have to get there NOW!!! not sure how true it is but dont Have to adopt as you can likely visit just to pet the cats and give them much needed attention and play or you can adopt as many as you can carry!!!

Found this sweet kitty in the cold. My two older rescues refused to get along with him. Edgar and Ivy cat sanctuary is giving him another chance in life. Thank you and blessings to these dear people.
