The staff is great! I left my cat with them for two weeks and they took great care of him. He has health issues and needs medicine several times a day and they were on top of things the whole time. I'll definitely be going back.
Had another awesome experience with Alex! Highly recommend! Our Wheaten terriers are very sensitive and anxious when getting groomed, we have tried several places and I can’t tell you enough how great it’s been for our pups here. Highly recommend!
We continue to trust Barkaritaville with our two dogs. They are well cared for by the friendly and caring staff. They are also very flexible as my plans change on occasion. The facilities are always clean. I highly recommend them!
My cats Mina and Corina had a great time at Barkaritaville! I really appreciate the staff taking their time to send updates and answer any questions I had. My cats will definitely be returning!
We've been entrusting barkaritaville with our dog for several years. I know nobody loves on our fur-babies the way we do, but I feel confident they take good care of her. I wish there was more of a daily report card type thing so I knew what activities she did, how she played, ate, etc, but they have many guests to attend to. Overall we have had a good experience and will continue to depend on them to care for our girl as needed.
Beautiful facility, Alex the groomer is great; however, poor experience with scheduling, inconsiderate dog/handler interaction, aggressive undertone in management communication far outweighs the aesthetics and limited groomer availability. My idea and expectation of a pet resort and spa experience is fairly basic. 1)My little furry one should be made to feel welcome through gentle, warm, comforting interactions, 2) I would like to have confidence to leave my puffy pal to freely spend my time, & 3) the company would do as they say in exchange of fair pricing for fair service. What about you? First visit was assured my 30lb trained, youngster would be warmed into comfort and with extra time, extra expense would be incurred. Also told to buy puppy chill pills. OK, I accepted. They didn't complete the service because of purported time constraints yet I paid full price. OK? I accepted, hoping through multiple continued visits, both my doggie and the company would become more compatible, more acquainted, more streamlined and certainly more complete service, all at my expense. Ok, I accepted this notion. Side note, at no point was I informed that he was a problem-child, ahem, problem-pet. Leading up to his second visit I was told certain worm tests had to be conducted. No problem, I accepted and ensured we met all requirements. He was scheduled for another bath and grooming and it was expressly communicated to me the specific drop times. No problem, I accepted and dropped my furry fellow off for a day of relaxation, rejuvenation, refreshing renewal. I found it curious and notable that the handler didn't even welcome me with a "good morning." No problem, skip the pleasantries, save them for the dog. Perhaps I should have listened to the mini alarm bells when I observed the handler matter-of-factly, tersely and unsuccesfully escort my dog to the back. Oh, no warm up or pleasantries for the dog either? No worries, I patiently, personally assisted with taking him to the back. Within 40 min into my planned, paid off-duty time, I was called to be informed the groomer was running late. No problem, I accepted. Shortly after, I was called yet again to be told that the groomer was actually NOT scheduled. OK, no problem, just a bath. I accepted. Shortly after, 3rd call. At the other end of the phone was an aggressively, anxiously toned woman telling me how aggressive and uncooperative my dog has been and that they would be refusing service! It was also made clear in a semi-threatening way that had my dog bitten someone it would have been reported to the authorities and I would have been fined. Side note, my trained dogged is support animal for special needs and is not a biter... Whaaat?! At this point, I am having a difficult time imagining what efforts were truly made to ease the 2nd visit especially recalling the experience at arrival. I throw my plans to the wayside, I shift gears, I arrive within 5 minutes to recover, perhaps rescue, my pup. You can bet I was frustrated, upset, disappointed, beyond discouraged and expressed as much to scheduling and managment. So in the end, I was mis-scheduled, pushed thru what was supposed to be a autonomous, robotic process, made to feel as though I had done something wrong. Thanks but no thanks. You may re-evaluate whether your animal behaves enough or is properly groom-trained before taking them here🐾. Any recommendations for a dog spa that offers the basic expectations?
