I cannot find the words for how angry and upset I am. About a month ago, we took our senior dog in for a check-up because she had developed a cough. We were afraid it was heart failure, and wanted to prepare for her passing. CityVet said it didn’t appear to be heart failure, but said based on the blood test, our dog needed another visit for another blood test to confirm whether she might have cancer. The office called after the second test and said our dog was cancer free. A month later, at 3 am, she had to go to the emergency vet. THIS vet did a sonogram and IN FIVE MINUTES told us not only did our dog have cancer, but it was metastasized to her entire body. Her heart fluid sac was so inflamed it had burst and was in her abdomen and lungs and was in so much pain, and we had to make the choice none of us ever want to. I don’t know what the explanation is here. Was CityVet incompetent? Lazy? We thought we were doing the best for our dog. If we had known, if we knew she was in so much pain because she had cancer in her entire body, we could have made our dog’s passing so much more peaceful and so much less stressful and awful. I’m writing this for other dog owners to consider seeking a second opinion, especially concerning end of life considerations.

Just took my newly adopted kitten, Ruby, and they got us all up to date and ready for years of healthy living! They were able to give us all shots, general check up inspections, and prescriptions on site and we were quickly serviced and on our way. They happily updated our records with the hard copy history we had been given by operation kindness (the adoption agency) and integrated it into our new account. Our general checkup fee was $75 which was extremely affordable. I will absolutely be making this clinic my primary care provider for my cat.

I’ve been here twice and had a great experience both times! Today I had to take my baby in as a walk in. The entire staff was so kind and they were able to see my baby immediately. We’ve had 2 different female vets there and both were wonderful. We’re so grateful for the whole team at City Vet!
