I went to get a second opinion on my Morkipoo's health issues. I also brought my toy poodle along as well. I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival time which has never happened before. Deborah was the technician who collected all the information on both my fur babies. She was amazing. So kind and considerate of the circumstances. She even scanned their micro chips which has never happened in the 12 years I've had my pups. She also gave me the information I need to change the chip information from the breeder to me. Dr Gumfory came in after their initial screening and was so kind and knowledgeable. He did a thorough examination of both my pets including reviewing x-rays from Nikki's medical history. We discussed everything I could think of so that I could make an informed decision about a possible surgery. Honestly, my appointment was really one of the best visits I have ever had with any doctor in my life. The time and patience with me, since I was worried about the risks of this surgery, was so greatly appreciated. I even came back during his lunch to ask a few more questions an hour later. He took the time to talk with me. I highly recommend this animal hospital. You will not be disappointed. Out of all the places I could've chose for the second opinion, I am so thankful that I chose this one. I live 45 minutes away from this place. I now have another vet I can bring my pups if I need to.

Words cannot describe the horrifying bedside manner and disrespect that plagues this practice. If you want to be demeaned, dismissed and gaslit, this is your place. I brought in my dog who was having symptoms of a serious infection; and although this type of infection is quite rare, it is also quite possible. Something about my dog: His cheery demeanor shows through when he sees new people, even at his sickest; including when he got bit by a rattlesnake and was in the ICU. Apparently, this means he is not sick. And while he did not have a fever, it is a well known fact that just because vitals are in range, it does not mean there is no illness or infection present. Per Doctor Wallace, I should’ve “brought videos” of his labored breathing using accessory muscles with retractions. One Doctor went as far as to presumptuously and rudely state “You’ve had a traumatic experience and you are putting that on your perfectly healthy dog.” It is worth noting that I have had no such traumatic experience, nor did I even state such. Not only is this incredibly obtuse statement offensive and harmful, it lessens my trust in the Vetrinary profession as a whole, and it is very telling of what this practice truly thinks of the concerned owners who bring in their ill pets. I was offered an antibiotic essentially as an appeasement ploy to get me out of their hair (despite him being “perfectly healthy.”) However, as a paramedic, I knew that particular medicine would not treat the specific infection that was suspected, therefore I declined and promptly got a second opinion. As it turns out, my dog is sick. As it turns out, I am not putting a (non existent) “traumatic experience” on my dog. He is now receiving treatment by a kind and caring team. I may not be in veterinary medicine, but I am in medicine; and I can recognize poor practice when I see it. For shame. tldr: I was essentially accused of fabricating my dog’s illness, and completely demeaned and disrespected.I got a second opinion was vindicated, and now he is being treated.

You can tell this team cares for their patients. Dr. Gumfory was very informative, explained the entire process and possibilities for if the treatment wouldn't work, which it did. They were all very friendly with my pup. They managed to double check with their appointments and squeeze me in the next day for my Service Dog's eye issue. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital

I can't say enough great things about this place and the employees. I've been going here for 20+ years. Dr Paul Hendon is amazing. All my pets are excited to see him and I would never go any where else. We even have fun in the waiting rooms.

I love this place! Dr.McNeal was amazing, she was so sweet and helpful. I never felt judged or talked down to for not knowing something. All the staff I encountered there were awesome, I just know my kitty Luna felt the love. I had to put my kitty down and I would not have taken him anywhere else to have spent his last moments. Dr.McNeal did not leave his side even after I left and she gave me a hug and showed her sympathy before I left , She is just the sweetest. I got Luna cremated and the Dr. let me know that once his ashes came back I didn’t have to pick him up right away if I wasn’t ready. After I got his ashes the VCA hospital sent me a card expressing their condolences and they even took the time to take Luna’s paw print. I was so sad that I couldn’t get a good one before he passed so this made me break down crying all over again. I’m just so blessed to have found this place before Luna passed, and I hope other people and their fur babies get to have a great experience here too. I’ll probably never have another pet again but if I did I would definitely come back here. Blessings to all the staff at VCA Westcreek hospital 💛

My dogs have been extremely well cared for by Dr. Paul Hendon for 33 years. I started to see him even before he joined Dr. Gumfory at Westcreek Animal Hospital. I have simply no words to express my deep gratitude to him and all the Westcreek staff. There is no other no animal clinic that compares to these people not only in their exemplary service but their deep compassion as well. I am forever grateful for their undying commitment to excellent expertise when it comes to serving what are often times our truly best friends.
