Peggy Adams has always been a great place for animals to end up. They are a no kill shelter. They take in strays by appointment and if they have the space. My family has adopted several dogs over the years. I recently brought in a kitten I had found in my warehouse and even though I didn't have an appointment, it was a slow day and they took her in after a short health examination and a few papers signed. They are kind to all of their four-legged friends, and you will likely find the perfect pet for you.

Our family had a wonderful experience at the adoption center. We got there early on a Sunday and it wasn't very busy. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and explained the process to us. We explained the kind of dog we were looking for and they offered us some suggestions then we went off to the kennels to take a look at all the dogs. The second dog we met was a perfect match and we immediately knew that she was the one. Storm (now named Pepper), has integrated into our house smoothly and has already brought us so much joy. We plan on making a donation soon because I know that her intake veterinary costs well exceeded the adoption fee we paid. We are so grateful for the care she received and that she is in our life now. Love to visit the kittens. Sometimes we visit the dogs too. Class A facility. Great volunteers and staff. Always clean. Animals are well cared for. We visited so many times we became foster parents and adopted three cats so far. They make our house happy. We drive past several shelters to get to Peggy Adams, 40+ minutes away.

We adopted sweet Marshall almost a week ago from Peggy Adams. The facility itself was pretty clean. The volunteers and staff themselves seem hit or miss. Some were super nice and friendly, some seemed like they just didn’t want to be bothered (or too busy). When and if we are looking for another feline friend, we would definitely check them out again.

I adopted my two cats here - the first back in May, and the second in June. They have been inseparable since. The adoption process is super easy and the staff is very open to acknowledging any known issues or concerns prior to adoption. The facility is also routinely clean and well staffed.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Special note to Caleb for the incredible help I got in the process. Caleb is not only amazingly knowledgeable with many different animals but was very helpful in the process, at home care and made me feel very comfortable about it all. The level of love and care they demonstrate with the animals is pretty amazing. Thank you for all you did for me, my new pup Storm and the thousands of other animals you save.
