We adopted a 2 yr old dog from them on November 25th because we had lost our other dog of 10 yrs to that respiratory infection that was going around so we wanted a new companion because the house was too quiet and we missed having a dog along with the cats. Long story short we stopped at this greenbay site and found Nadia (aka nadi) on November 25 well she passed away on this past friday from what we think was a heart attack. I know that humane society may not know all medical issues of the animals but reading up on some of the things that she did in the month we had her were signs she may have had a heart issue but we didnt know any of this until she passed. Im not blaming anyone im just angry i only got to have her for a month but i sure am glad that she passed with us and not at the humane society. I think they need to do better health checks on these pets so they can live a longer life and the people that adopt them aren't left with an unexpected death.
We have adopted from this humane society for many years. They have always been kind and professional. We always got a free checkup coupon with our own vet and pets were always neutered. Yes there were times we had to take them to the vet but that is expected. They check them for some things but not all. They have always been good to us and love these animals as much as we do. All animals deserve love regardless of age. The love they give you in return is priceless.
I adopted a kitty from Petsmart and was so happy that I did. The care givers there were kind and professional. I got to be in a room with several kittens and chose the one who purred at me. He is adorable. He was neurted, chipped, and had first set of shots. He is my ESA pet. He has helped me with my anxiety. He sleeps with me. He lakes by me in my recliner. He goes room to room when I do. He is so loved. Thank you WI Humane Society and Petsmart. Thank you Heather Richardson.
Recently I bought a dog at the Green Bay Humane Society was told she had a small fracture in her left elbow stated in the paperwork. Was told that she may develop arthritis but would heal overtime. Less than 24 hours of having her, she was hardly putting pressure on that leg, even keeping it off the ground when sitting and showing multiple signs of discomfort. So logically I brought her to the vet, where they found the same fracture listed. Then I was told that she needed surgery and that it would cost over $5,000 just for that one leg because it’s not just a fracture but her bone is dislocated and her other front right leg also might be damaged and also need surgery to correct it. They should have took care of this when she was in there but they were only causing more damage to her, again she is only just a puppy. They should definitely be responsible because they gave us misinformation.
Great experience. Staff were nice and patient. Got an older cat for my grandson. We love her. Sweetheart Bila
