The staff n transporters did a great job. I chose a 14 year old senior because they need love too. She had hind leg issues and cataracts. Otherwise good and on no meds. I thought I’d have her for 1-2 years. A Few days after I got her home ( in early August) she had a horrific cough. I Checked her papers and she had all her shots. She had a heart murmur on 4/6 that wasn’t worked up or put on cardiac meds. I didn’t see any results of a senior lab work done. My vet put her on cardiac meds and Lasix for the stage 2/3 CHF. She went into stage 4 CHF 3 1/2 weeks after I got her. It was painful to watch her breathe. It is incurable. I’m thankful I got to love this beautiful, smart, loving chihuahua for a few weeks. Please tell adoptees and foster parents to read and check all exams results these pets get.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of fostering and adopting through Misfits! As a foster and adopter they were so knowledgeable and fast responses for any of my concerns or questions. They always went above and beyond to make sure myself and the dogs felt good. All owners are wonderful people and you can tell the amount of hard work that’s put into this organization. They care so much about the dogs but also the people who they cross paths with. I couldn’t recommend a better place to volunteer/adopt from!! 💕❤️

I have been a foster with Misfit Mutts for around 4 years and have adopted 4 of my own pups from this organization. The team running the rescue is absolutely wonderful to work with. I feel blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of people, always putting the Misfits first and allowing better lives for each dog they work with. The team is organized, punctual, fair, kind and always willing to be there with anything needed from fosters or adopters alike. They provide so many resources to make each adoption a success. I love working with them and highly recommend them to anyone that will listen! Keep up the great work Misfit Mutts!

The founders, fosters, and volunteers go above and beyond in this organization. We adopted our pup from them over 4 years ago and the founders and former foster family keep in contact -- which I LOVE. My husband and I truly have so much love for each and every person that has a hand in Misfit Mutts not only because of what they do, but because they are all genuinely amazing, kind, and caring individuals. They put so much work into rescuing and finding the perfect fit and home for each dog. Not every home is right for every dog. Thank you everyone at Misfit Mutts for the hard work, love, and care. And for always welcoming us with open arms when we see you and for keeping in contact with families that have adopted. It truly means so much.
