The staff n transporters did a great job. I chose a 14 year old senior because they need love too. She had hind leg issues and cataracts. Otherwise good and on no meds. I thought I’d have her for 1-2 years. A Few days after I got her home ( in early August) she had a horrific cough. I Checked her papers and she had all her shots. She had a heart murmur on 4/6 that wasn’t worked up or put on cardiac meds. I didn’t see any results of a senior lab work done. My vet put her on cardiac meds and Lasix for the stage 2/3 CHF. She went into stage 4 CHF 3 1/2 weeks after I got her. It was painful to watch her breathe. It is incurable. I’m thankful I got to love this beautiful, smart, loving chihuahua for a few weeks. Please tell adoptees and foster parents to read and check all exams results these pets get.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of fostering and adopting through Misfits! As a foster and adopter they were so knowledgeable and fast responses for any of my concerns or questions. They always went above and beyond to make sure myself and the dogs felt good. All owners are wonderful people and you can tell the amount of hard work that’s put into this organization. They care so much about the dogs but also the people who they cross paths with. I couldn’t recommend a better place to volunteer/adopt from!! 💕❤️

MMDR is a true asset to the Green Bay community and are a great resource for all dog owners. They host several excellent fundraisers throughout the year that we love to attend. We adopted our boy, Bulleit, in 2020 and the process was seamless.

Hands down the best rescue in the area!! I have experienced first hand the compassion and care the staff treats their animals, volunteers and adopters with - they definitely serve as one of the best organizations run by some of the most compassionate individuals that I have come to known. They are extremely well run on the back-end of operations of animal rescue efforts, but also on the front end in preparing animals for homes and homes for animals (as well as volunteer support!). They fall into the "exceptional" category of every non-profit area of evaluation and it has been such a privilege to be involved with and learn from them. They have the determination to make a difference - and they do! They go above and beyond to save the lives of animals, and one that deserves to be recognized for their incredible effort. I can’t say enough good and a 5 star rating doesn’t come close!

Process for the adoption application went well. Had a meet and greet, but the cute dog was not for us. Would love to work with them again.
