I found a stray cat by my car on a very cold night. I already have multiple cats so I couldn’t keep him sadly. I kept him in my apartment for a few days in a separate room from my cats while I tried to find his owner. He was so friendly that I assumed he must’ve belonged to someone. Brewster’s Place reached out via one of my Facebook posts trying to find the owner. I took him in and the staff was so friendly and their intake setup was awesome. They got him to the vet and everything too. They showed me around the place. The cats have so much space to roam and lots of things to play with. Antisocial cats are kept separate but still have plenty of space themselves. I felt so much better leaving him in their hands as I’d been hesitant about dropping him off at a packed shelter. They too tried to find his owner. After a wait period and when the owner wasn’t found, he was made available and was almost immediately adopted. The owner was kind enough to keep me up to date via texts. If you’re thinking about adopting, or want a good place to make a donation to, this place is great.

The people there are great and have a very personal connection with their animals. I love to visit whenever I can to see all the beautiful animals like Dumpling (black and white cat) and Julia (black kitten). I would adopt all of them if I could!
