I just brought in the smallest of creatures, rescued from my cat in my backyard (no injuries).. a mouse! And they welcomed it with open arms! It didn't even have it's eyes opened yet. They started it on antibiotics and took care of it like any other creature deserving of the same treatment. Just how excellent! The woman I talked with on the phone was extremely helpful with directions and the woman I met at the door was absolutely second to none with knowledge and love for animals. This sanctuary is truly wonderful and the people behind the wheel are why!! 🩷

Exotic animals, Lemurs, poison dart frogs with a beautiful enclosure, African wild cats (so cute) ferrets, and even a skunk, frilled lizard and a very helpful staff

I live here and was having a hard time deciding what I could do with my 6yr granddaughter and 3yr old grandson. The weather was iffy & 10k+ people were downtown for the Saint Patrick's Day run, so the beach & downtown were not an option! I looked at options that would be 30$ to 50$ and with only 90 minutes of entertainment for us I couldn't choose! I then saw the Wildlife Sanctuary of North West Florida needed donations and Boom that's when I knew we would go as a family inviting my sister & her husband who donaties fish there regularly. ❤️ We had a great time, and the kids got to see our local Wildlife up close and personal and got to hand the food donations to the volunteer❤️ I recommend this for any family!!! The kids learned many things & giving back was the best thing we could have done together. 😊🦅🦉🐦‍⬛🦤🦃❤️

Opens at Noon. Great assistance from the Staff. Self guided walk thru rhe park like setting. Big Eagle nest to sit in for photos ! Picnic tables to sit and see the river view including fish and turtles ! No charge to enter..but Please leave a donation at the door to the office. Looking forward to taking my granddaughter !!

This was a nice place. Great rescue. No cost to tour but you can make a cash donation. The drop slot is on the side of the door. I wouldn't recommend taking young children unless they are calmer.

They don’t open until 12 PM on Sunday. A bit of a let down when their hours of operation on Google says they open at 8 AM. Apparently they open at 8 AM to accept animals which is nice but misleading to visitors. I could have been half way to the zoo with my kiddo by now!
