AMAZING!!!! the staff were the bomb! Once I saw Peño (Dickey) on their adoption website I knew in my heart that he was gonna be perfect for my home with my other pups. Some backstory, I had been looking for a chihuahua for quite some time but I didn't have thousands of dollars for travel and fees for a purebred chihuahua (and i wanted to adopt from a shelter not buy from a breeder) I had searched endlessly at multiple shelter for THE chihuahua. I had given up from searching the past month when something today told me to check the shelter again and there he was, I immediately called and drove up there to bring my future baby home. All his siblings were already gone and he hid under his bed as soon as he saw me but now hes attached to my hip. He gets along great with my other pups and is the most perfect boy, if he's not attached to my leg while walking he's either laying on my lap or on my computer desk!

I don't understand why this place is still open 😕 everytime you call about an animal they take down info an you will never hear from or see them again. What is the purpose of driving around when you ride past animals in need? I remember growing up we would hide our dogs cause the tags were expired and we didn't want them taking our dogs or giving us a fine. Nowadays they ride past a starving dog won't bother to stop. I had a relative that worked there for a few years an she hated it and basically said their not going to do anything cause I've been calling for weeks about starving dogs but no one will come out. This is sad! Do better! Ask the state for resources, something, anything!!!!

I think it's very sad the animal control cannot come out on the weekend to animals that are being abused that are out in the pouring rain. Have been all night long. No shelter, no food. They're so skinny one of them can't even stand up. He's so malnutrished. I don't understand why our tax dollars is not helping. These people do something with these poor animals. You call them several times. No one comes out. Something has to change these. Animals don't have a voice. We have to be the voice for them and as an animal lover it just breaks my heart. We need to do better. We need to get more resources to help animal control. Something has to be done!

Not real good, I have a stray dog that won't leave, been around my 92 year old mother's apartment about 2 weeks now, she can't take care of an animal, we have checked with everyone around that area, no one knows the dog, animal control has been called out twice and no sign of them, so I go get the dog and take it to your office, and they won't take it, what would Animal Control do with the dog if you had no room for it? It is a beautiful Hound dog, well trained, it would be a great hunting dog for someone that hunts. I took it there thinking the owner would check there to see if you had it, we are afraid it would get out on those busy roads and get killed. The dog is NOT chipped, I took it to my vet to have it checked.

The staff here was very friendly and patient with answering our questions! We fell for this little guy and they made sure we were able to get him! He was already neutered and up to date on shots and the adoption fee was very reasonable. We were very happy with our experience here and with the new addition to the family!

I want to start off by saying the front desk staff were phenomenal and extremely helpful in our adoption process. They spent a large amount of time with me and my partner to find our perfect baby. They were fun, silly, kind and patient with us the whole time! They made our experience wonderful. The only semi-negative thing I have to say is the hours were posted differently on 2 different sites and then at the front door there was a different time again (one said 10 am, the other 11 am and the front door said 12:30). So my partner and I had to wait a couple hours before going inside due to the sites not being updated. In addition to that, we had tried to call numerous times that day and no one answered the phone throughout the day, so that was a little frustrating. But overall, we had a good experience and we love our sweet boy. He got to go to a loving home and we hope all the other babies get adopted soon. Thank you to the staff who helped us! I can’t remember her name but she had colorful glasses and a shaved undercut with darker hair… I don’t remember your name, but I do remember your face and how awesome you were with us. Thank you so much ❤️
