Brenda is an angel. I ended up with a poodle that I was not able to care for property. Beautiful girl that didnt deserve the life she started with. SHE drove to ky to pick McGee up I truly believe she will place her in an awesome home. GOD HAS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARTS. THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOUR DOING.

Brenda rescued one of my standards many years ago. She would not eat or drink but in her care she found her a perfect home and w all their care Ivy rebounded and is living a wonderful loving life

The last time I talked with Brenda was at least 12 years ago. She let us foster a dog who, among 2 others were in dire straits. She drove as far as Miami to rescue them. Really dedicated. The dog was sketchy, but it had every reason to be given its history. Brenda was great to work with !

I adopted a female standard poodle, Scarlet, from Brenda. It’s the same red Scarlet that is on her website. That’s not my floor in the picture, she sold her again less than 2 weeks after I had to bring her back. I had Scarlett for 4 months. From the beginning I had issues with her going to the bathroom in the house. I called Brenda and told her, but by then we had gotten attached to her. She was a very sweet dog and I wanted so bad for it to work. I am home a lot so I decided to just work with her and make it work. She kept going in the house, not accidents, she intentionally kept going, even after cleaning and throwing away 2 nice wool rugs. In the 4 months of having Scarlet I called or texted or emailed Brenda 3 times concerning these issues. The 3rd and final straw, Scarlet was in my sons room with my son and our other dog when she got on my sons bed and peed. That told me she had absolutely no understanding of boundaries, most dogs don’t go to the bathroom where they sleep. So I emailed Brenda and was told to call or email for an appointment to bring her back. Brenda charged me $500 for this dog but you sign papers saying that the dog will always belong to Brenda. I hated to have to bring her back. We loved her but you can’t let an animal destroy your house. I went to her house with Scarlet. Brenda stood in the doorway and said nothing. I talked, explained exactly what was going on and she just gravely stood there looking at me. I asked, are you going to give me my money back? She said no, then she said you had her 4 months. I said I had planned on having her for the rest of her life. She had nothing to say except that she would work with Scarlet on whatever issues she has. I have asked her several times to mail me a check. I get absolutely no response except an email that she had adopted Scarlet out again and the man loved her and can’t understand why I had issues. So she called me a liar, kept the $500 she charged for Scarlet then turned around less than 2 weeks later and SOLD Scarlet again. I don’t believe for a minute that she worked with poor Scarlet at all. I want a good home for Scarlet but Brenda is supposed to be running a charity. There is no reason under the sun not to return the $500 she charged me except greed.

A very welcoming and professional Standard Poodle rescue. High knowledge of needs and understands how to reassure the clients that have to surrender their dog and to provide as much information for the clients who the dogs are placed with. A thorough screening process is in place. During the meet and greet we were screened again in conversation before we even saw the dog we agreed to rescue. There is a genuine caring atmosphere and has the career background to walk the talk.
