Went in to register a new boat. Was really dreading it. Turned out to be a wonderful experience. Extremely nice folks and great customer service. I'm glad to see at least one state agency has their act together.

I wanted to register my old bass boat in T. Titled in Va. my former residence. I tried the on line to register. Completed the form that was on line, paid the fee with cc then it says up load a form that you have to obtain from the local County court clerks office. I go there with my Va. title to get the for and according to them they would not except a Va. title proving I own the boat since 2007! But no, now they want a bill of sell! 26 years sonde I purchased the boat! I don’t have the purchase docs! Then was told I would have pay tax on the boat! Typical Tn government and left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I called the local TWR and a lady called me back about 530. She said I had to prove ownership! I ask her was a va Title in my name good enough. She said yes. I ask her why I couldn’t get the form from clerks office. Her answer, we don’t have anything to do with them!!! So the web site is a joke, the clerk Makes up a rule or requirement not printed anywhere that you can’t comply with. So I just renewed it online in Va and paid the $39. The only good thing about Tn government offices is we don’t have to pay income tax to support incompetent brain dead people who work for them. BTW their DMV is no better or worse. That’s another story much like TWR.

The ladies at the front are always so helpful and friendly. Especially considering how busy they stay with phone calls and work.

I talked to Amber on the phone and she was amazing! I was able to get a duplicate license and registration card paid for and mailed in under 5 minutes! Amber needs a promotion!!

I was connected to the “Trout Biologist” by the name of Jim and he was very rude. We both started a sentence at the same time and he roughly said “hold up, if we are both talking, this ain’t gonna work.” The tone was very unfriendly. Gentleman way overreacted to a common mishap...

I always been a twra supporter but no more.. Can't get hold of wildlife commissioner, wildlife officers will not come to a call, will not do their job. What is the point of having them? Wildlife officers do very little, over paid and shouldn't have to have a degree for that position. Twra is waste of money..
