LOVE DR. SUE AND DR JULIE! and all of the nurses and staff. We drive from Corsicana for them to see our short nosed babies for dentals, soft palate, and nares if needed. They are familiar with our babie's breeds and follow a special protocol for anesthesia. They also use laser for those surgeries and that was a huge plus for me and how I found them when we moved to Texas. I contacted a laser mfg and they sent me a list of Veteranarians that used them after I had spent hours cold calling different vets asking about their practices with bracephalic breeds and if they used lasers. I am so glad we found them. We had 1 incident with a vet that is no longer there. Dr. Julie and Dr. Sue are amazing!

Since I moved to North Dallas, i have been bringing my 4 dogs to them for general and emergency situations (and with 4, they happen often). The service is great and quite efficient (this was not so good until a few months ago, but they changed their processes and we don’t have to wait long in a room full of dogs). The doctors are very knowledgeable and take the time to talk to us through everything. They have always been able to see my dogs on short notice if need be and are well coordinated with the emergency clinic, which is great too! For other owners, please consider pet insurance, I recommend Healthy Paws. See my puppy! Two years later, I still love Chastain! They keep my 4 monsters healthy and specially bijou happy!

The staff are very courteous and friendly. I had brought one of our fosters for their paperwork to be able to go on transport. The place is clean the service was phenomenal. I strongly recommend use of this facility for your pet care.

It’s the little details that set this place apart for me. It’s one of the few vets nearby that treat exotic animals, so we don’t have a lot of options for our leopard geckos, bearded dragon and blue-tongue skink. Of those we’ve visited, PRAH was the kindest and warmest, especially when talking through things in front of my daughter. They treated her like a young, sensitive adult and were never condescending. A few days after our first visit, they called us to check in — a simple gesture, but other vets just send an impersonal email. And after one of our pets died (one they never had the chance to treat), they sent us a sympathy card signed by the whole staff. None of this is strictly necessary for them to do to have a competent veterinary practice, but it all made a big impact on our family and ensures that we will return again and again.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. My dog came home from doggy daycare with a swollen paw so I brought her in as soon as possible. When I called, I was told she’d be examined for bites and wounds, and get x-rays if necessary. After paying $400 for X-Rays(that showed nothing), as well as anti-inflammatory meds, I notice her licking her paw. After I looked at it for 15 seconds, it’s clear this was some type of bite that the vet clearly missed. Now I’m out $400 and still don’t have a solution to the problem, because the vet can’t do their job.

Had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to my 19-year-old cat. Everyone at the practice was kind, caring, and professional. I’ll bring my next, new kitten here for sure. Thanks for making a tough experience more bearable.
