Description Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue strives to have an impact on homeless cats and kittens by providing shelter and partnering with local veterinarians to deliver comprehensive medical care and life saving surgeries. At RMFR, we partner with high risk shelters throughout the nation to reduce euthanasia rates and provide shelter for special cat populations, including those diagnosed as FIV+ and FeLV+. In 2019, RMFR was able to provide shelter and medical treatment, including in-house surgeries, for over 3,100 cats and kittens. ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. To Schedule an appointment please fill out an adoption application on our website. (Approval for qualified applications may take up to 2 weeks)

There were many lovely kitties of all ages. It seems like a good environment. Obviously some cats are more shy than others but there was a lot of purring and bumping as I walked around. It has been about a week since i adopted two 5mo olds. I was surprised how quickly they got comfortable :). Thanks for my new fuzzy friends!!

Thank you RMFR for this very successful adoption! Our beautiful Basil is the biggest sweetheart! He's very cuddly and playful 24/7. We all just love him so much! It was definitely love at first sight, we are so thankful making this experience a very good one. RMFR staff is wonderful, kind and helpful. Even the awesome volunteers that are working constantly around the facility are kind and working hard with smiles. I highly recommend adopting from here.

RMFR thank you for all that you do! I work at the Chuck and Don’s in GWV, and we had an adoption event a weekend or two ago and I knew this was where we needed to get our cat! The volunteers were so caring for the cats they brought, knew any question you asked them, and were just so nice. My girlfriend and I made an appointment for adoption and two days ago were able to get our cat Clementine (her name was Fallin when they had her). The appointment made adoption so easy, you can walk through every room to meet all of the cats and see which one fits your needs! Staff was so inviting and friendly, and very transparent about everything! Clementine says thank you for taking care of her, and we thank you for helping us get our baby! She has warmed up so nicely and loves all people, we couldn’t be happier.

We have volunteered, fostered, and adopted a few FLEV+ cats with RMFR and they do such a wonderful job with caring for the cats and their kitties are the sweetest cats you could find! My grandma recently adopted a tabby here too who is so adorable and affectionate. I'm so glad we found out about them. We feel very proud to be volunteers with them and have always had wonderful experiences with them!

I would have taken all the cats if I could have. Very clean place, lots of staff around to answer questions and very affordable.

The cats and kittens are adorable and pretty well behaved too. You can tell it is a shelter that truly cares about the animals. I sadly am not in a place where I can adopt but I love coming here to see and pet all the cats.
