I just adopted this sweet French bulldog puppy earlier this week. We decided to rename her Bagel, since she looks like a poppyseed bagel. 🥰 I am in utter disbelief of my luck, she was an owner surrender. She is an absolute ANGEL. She doesn’t get into things in the house, she doesn’t bark, she doesn’t have accidents and she’s so good with our other dogs. The shelter was very clean when I came in and the counselor I worked with was very kind. I already knew before I got there I was going to go home with this dog so meeting her was just the nail in the coffin. I’m so happy I held out from adopting until I found her and I will definitely look into bringing home more babies from here in the future!
DO NOT TAKE YOUR FUR BABY HERE! If any chance your dog is 3 or older they WILL NOT “train them” they talk about behavior classes but they already take them as a Lost cause! If your dog doesn’t do well with cats (most dogs) they will consider them as a “lost cause” we took our baby boy here who was a great freaking dog ! We didn’t have the time for him but he was great with people, kids and other dogs. We didn’t have anyone who could take him otherwise we would have given him to a good family home. Our Boy was only 4 years old and was put down as soon As we brought him in 💔💔💔😭😭 they said he “sounds like a great boy!” and put him down day(s) after we took him here. If they would have been honest and transparent about all this we would have just kept him and he would have still be alive!!! Don’t bring your babies here they will euthanize your baby like they did ours!!! I AM THE VOICE FOR KOBE and here to save other fur babies
Got my two black kitties from them about 3 years ago. Best purchases of my life. I really appreciated them taking the time to interview me and make sure I was the right match for these cute kitties. They are my best friends. Highly recommend this place
About 2 months ago we adopted our 2nd fur baby! The staff was amazing, and we couldn’t be happier. Dulce (then Siren) has been the perfect addition to our family. Thank you to the whole team!
I can not say enough good things about the facility, the staff, or the process. Everything is extremely clean. The staff goes out of their way to make sure the dog fits with their perspective owners. The process for adoption is thorough and simple. They provide the necessities to help get your new animal settled. I was sent her by a friend, and it was a great recommendation. They deserve more than 5 stars.
Thank you for my best friend. I walked into the DDFL location on Quebec about a year ago, I knew I wanted a pet of my own after growing up in a place where the dogs made a house a home. I promised myself I was only going in to look around (…lol) and that I wouldn’t be bringing home any type of animal until I had discussed it thoroughly with my roommates. Then I met Cowboy. I had him brought into one of the very clean (and stocked with treats and toys) meeting rooms, and there was no way I could leave him behind. I walked outside and dialed up each of my roommates to get their approval to bring home a 90lbs+ German Shepherd (surprisingly easy sell) and proceeded to fill out all of the necessary paperwork ASAP. The DDFL is known for having certain specials to help place some of their “less desirable” animals. They were running one when I adopted Cowboy that allowed anyone adopting a pet 3+ y/o to name their price for the adoption fee. I elected to pay the adoption fee plus some. These people genuinely love animals, their job, and their community. I am so lucky that I walked into their sanctuary that day. I am so damn lucky to own this dog. I love you Cowboy.
