I can't say enough good stuff about this place. Every single staff member has been amazing. The Doctors are excellent. Every time I've ever had an emergency they have been able to get me in. And the little things, like how cute is this backdrop to take pics of your pets 😍

I took my Corgi here for nearly 15 years. A great practice full of knowledgeable, professional and caring people. We took advantage of pretty much all services - check ups, grooming, boarding, dental cleaning, surgeries and unfortunately, euthanasia. All met our expectations (experience & cost). Even when we had to say goodbye, it was as best as could be given the situation - full of compassion and reverence for my pet. When a vet sheds a tear with you, you know where they stand. Thank you, Babcock Hills for always taking great care of our Ein.

I absolutely love this vet hospital! I recently raised a new born kitten, and when she started showing signs of an infection I took her here. I was welcomed by a very friendly staff, and my kitten was taken care of by such a caring veterinarian. I had been so exhausted from all the newborn duties for the first few weeks, and the vet was gracious enough to take her for a few hours so I could catch up on sleep. It put me at ease knowing she was in such good hands! Thank you so much for being so great!

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I am very appreciative of the fact that they got me in on a short notice, however; everything went downhill from there. My dog was showing symptoms that were alarming and so I brought him in for lab work. He is a German Shepard and was labeled as an aggressive animal so they told me he was required to be sedated for labs to be drawn. I was given a quote on all of the costs for the appointment, which I agreed to. After one set of labs came back and the x-ray, Dr. Groeschl told me that she was not satisfied with the results and needed to get another panel that was an extra cost. I agreed. She came right back with the additional labs and gave me the worst news I could imagine- my dog is in renal failure. She gave me a rundown of what is happening and then giggling while explaining my dog’s best option is euthanasia. Shortly after giving me the news, they were 10minutes to closing and she began pressuring me to make a decision giving me no time to process the news. As I checked out they gave me the medicine without explaining anything about dosage because they were worried about leaving on time. I hadn’t even left the sidewalk and they already locked the door before I could go back and ask my last questions. I called the next day after his symptoms got worse to try and get more information on the effect of the sedation and all they could offer was for me to prepay for another exam even after telling me they would not be providing any care to my dog due to his fear reactivity. Overall, I didn’t feel like there was any sympathy for the diagnosis of my dog and the potential decision to euthanize him that night. After the way they responded to the suggestion of euthanasia, I would not have ever felt comfortable saying goodbye to my beloved Rex at this clinic. Highly suggest looking elsewhere for care.

We absolutely love Babcock Hills for our dog and 2 cats. We have struggled finding a vet here in San Antonio over the last several years that wasn't super expensive or that didn't try and upcharge for anything and everything they could get away with. Not at Babcock Hills. They are honest, accommodating and so easy to work with. Dr. Marie is so gentle and sweet and really is passionate about her work, but so is every employee that we have interacted with . I am so grateful to have found this forever vet for my babies.
