We had to find an emergency vet clinic while away from home after Smokey experienced a rapid decline in health during our time in Oregon. Although we knew the likely outcome we were facing, it was still helpful to have Dr Jackson do a full exam and provide her insight about what was going on and what our options were. Given the late (I guess it was early morning) hour by that point, we took Smokey home and spent the next day with him before returning in the evening to say goodbye. Dr Jackson had administered some fluids and meds to ease pain and nausea, and she helped ensure that Smokey’s last day with us was a peaceful one. Saying goodbye to a dog is the hardest thing, but every single staff member at Wilvet demonstrated a degree of understanding, care and compassion while making our experience and Smokey’s as seamless as possible. Both times that we were in clinic the level of patient volume seemed extremely high and demanding, but our time with staff and docs never felt rushed or as if we were being hustled along. We were able to be with Smokey until the end, and he got to spend his final time with us wrapped in a blanket in calm surroundings. The entire timeline was fully within our control, and we appreciated the consideration of our needs. Nobody ever likes to face hard choices and moments like these, but it was helpful to have the consistent and considerate level of care we were shown at Wilvet South to guide us through. Thank you for doing hard work at all hours with such a professional approach.

We took our cat here after he got a corneal abrasion. We were told 4-6 hour wait time, but were in and out within 2.5 hours! The receptionist and all the the nurses/vet techs we spoke to were incredibly helpful and compassionate through every single step, from initial phone call to checking out. 10/10. We will come here for any pet emergencies/urgent care in the future and recommend them to others. 😊

My boy has a frequent issue that needs immediate treatment when it occurs. This is the second time I’ve had to bring my boy here and they’ve taken great care of him! Staff is so kind and compassionate. He had to stay the night and they were kind enough to send me a text message, before I went to bed, with the images below of him updating me on how he was doing which brought me so much peace. I love my boy and vet offices give him a lot of anxiety and he seemed comfortable which made me more at ease. Thank you Wilvet Staff for all you do! I know your job is not easy at times but just know that you are all appreciated more than you know. 🐾❤️ Thanks again caring for my sweet Cocoa! 🤎🐾

Wilvet did an amazing job of caring for my cat, Lissa! They were extremely kind, helped us as quickly as they could, and were extremely communicative regarding Lissa and her care. Dr. Harmon in particular did a phenomenal job, taking the time out of her busy day to speak at length on the phone with me discussing Lissa's x-rays and next steps. It definitely helped put my mind at ease and I really appreciate her kindness and communication. I will definitely be going to Wilvet in the future for any emergency needs!

When my pup got hurt and the usual clinic was closed, we were very happy to find this place. They were very kind and professional, considerate of how to work with a German Shepherd (we've been to a clinic that was clueless on how to treat her with her separation anxiety), and they were great with communication, and checking in to see how her recovery was going and if/when we had any questions. The clinic was clean, and care was as prompt as possible. We could not have asked for a better experience! ❤️🩹💖

The staff and entire facility exceeded expectations. Like many people who have to unfortunately visit the emergency vet, we were very concerned and worried about our dog… A 330 AM stressful drive from the coast. Staff welcomed us in immediately and took our dog in back to assess within minutes. After determining that he was stable, we quickly got a waiting room. His issue was quickly diagnosed and treated. This vet does not push procedures and unneeded costs. They have a very level head and empathy regarding the best, yet most financially practical approach. If you’ve owned a pet, you realize how important this is when taking your pet to the vet. About 12 hours later, we had a follow up questions. Sent a quick email and received a response within minutes. The facility is super clean, modern and very nice. The staff showed kindness, patients and love, and although we hope not to be back anytime soon, we will absolutely take our pets here moving forward.
