I have been coming to Uptown Animal for 20+years for all my rescues. The staff and more importantly, the vets have always provided care over and beyond. I have had some very sick animals and they always have accommodate me each and every time. They are the best!!! I have had rescue dogs since '97 and recently, rescue cats treated there.

Brought my dog Theo because he was bitten by another dog. Dr. Sullivan and his assistant (Jenny I think was her name) were both very kind and knowledgeable. It was clear that to them the patient is my dog and Dr. Sullivan put Theo at ease. They checked for signs of infection or fever, gave Theo a physical and removed tartar from his front teeth which I felt went above and beyond. The pricing for our visit very fair and comparable to other animal hospitals I’ve been to in the suburbs. Thank you for taking care of my dog.

COMPETENT WITHOUT THE RUNAROUND. When several other veterinary offices woke up and chose stupidity, the staff here chose competence, kindness, timeliness, and professionalism. Despite being busy, they were very compassionate and accommodating with my dog. I didn’t ask for special treatment - I just needed my dog taken care of. I believe competence should be rewarded, so my money and my dog now go here. Lucky to have found this crew.

I brought my kitty here for a skin infection a couple weeks ago. Dr Whisler and his tech were very caring. I didn’t have to book too far out and service was fast once we arrived. We weren’t overcharged and now my cat is all better :) Highly recommend

I highly recommend this place if you live in Chicago. I feel so comfortable that my dogs are getting the best care. I missed a call from Dr Sullivan and I called back later and I was able to speak with him directly. He explained things in a way that made sense to me and that is so hard to find. Not only that but he wasn’t even my original doctor but wanted to give me results asap. I wish I could remember the name of the original doctor who was also so thorough, caring and patient. I appreciate it bc we all know how anxiety inducing going to the vet with a problem with our animals can be.
