It was my first time coming here since they were the only place with appointments available for this week. I came in due to concerns about my dog's paws and Dr. Lisa was amazing. Her and her assistant Ingrid helped make my dog feel good during her entire visit. My dog is normally nervous and cries every time she gets checked at the vet but I was surprised on how calm they made her feel. I see myself coming back here for sure. The prices aren't crazy I feel like it was worth it. Again, amazing staff. Glad they got my dog feeling right 💯💯💯

I was taking my dog to you for vet care. In July my dog became critically I'll. You did not have time to see him. You sent me to another vet who saw him immediately. Unfortunately he did not make it. The other vet said they called you. You have been sending me emails and texts about scheduling appointments since then. Apparently it wasn't important for you to even note the phone call or contact me for follow up. I called your office to stop sending these texts and emails. After I told you why I had called you hung up on me.

A bit pricey yes, but uncaring no. My senior cat hates car rides and soiled himself on the way there. Dr. Lisa Mortensen was nice enough to clean him up, and the vet tech cleaned and put a pee pad in the crate I brought him in. I paid $513 for the exam, bloodwork, a shot of cerenia, 4 tablets of cerenia to administer at home, a prescription for food, and 10 tablets of gabapentin, for car rides. Nothing unnecessary was done and I was told the price before anything was done. I would recommend Mont Clare.

We brought our dog here to get a mass removed from his eyelid. The first red flag was when we showed up for the scheduled surgery, the vet didn’t even know why he was there. They did the surgery (successful) but sent us home with little instruction in how to care for him. The vet didn’t take the time to explain the medications prescribed until we asked the front desk, and then eventually got to talk to the vet tech about it. We were supposed to go in yesterday to get his stitches removed and I called in the morning to verify instructions for the tranquilizer pills we needed to give him. The instructions they gave us directly contradicted the initial instructions and they changed the instructions twice during the same call. Turns out, they didn’t even give us the right amount of medication. The whole process, which should have been pretty straightforward, turned into a mess. We found a new vet who was able to remove the stitches and provided us reassurance during the entire process. The vet we went to was shocked that VCA didn’t even do a biopsy on the mass removed. The vet didn’t even explain to us that it could have been cancerous. Although the chances are low because we have a young dog, it’s still a possibility that the vet should have shared with us. Save your time, your money, and the well-being of your pet and go elsewhere. I’m pretty dam patient but this is insane. The only helpful employee was the person I spoke to at the front desk who was apologetic but at this point, it’s too late.

I took my dog here for an ear hematoma and dr didn’t really give me other options. Instead gave me a quote for surgery which I don’t really have 900$. All I wanted was for the ear to be drained and given steroids. Definitely not coming here again. Waste of my time and money.

I would like to start off by saying I don’t write reviews ever, but this definitely made an exception!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We took our 2 month old puppy in for the first time with a stool sample. The doctor said she would call the following day with results. 3 days went on and no call, but at this point we know she has worms. When we called to follow up the receptionist said that the doctor should be getting back to me soon. Another 3 days go on and I called again… finally the doctor called me later that evening. It took almost a week just to get an answer/ help which was very frustrating. We decided to give them another shot today since we had an appointment already. We go in and the receptionist tells us that we would have to wait an hour because everyone just went on lunch. I understand everyone has to have a break/ eat, but if someone has an appointment at a certain time why would you decide to make them wait an hour? We’re highly disappointed and we won’t be going back.
