We adore our kitten! The foster mom who had him obviously did an amazing job socializing him prior to our taking him home. He came with the first vet visit and round of shots already completed. The Chicago Pet Rescue representative we worked with was very thorough with the vetting process to ensure our family and household were a good fit for adoption. She spent quite a bit of time with us, discussing care, sharing many, many recommendations and giving us kitten care guidance. To me, this showed she truly holds the best interest of the animals she is placing as the most important thing in the whole adoption process. She wants to make certain they are going to a safe and loving home. I felt really good about that. She's earned my trust and respect. Highly recommend!

This Foster-Based rescue is mostly volunteers, who give their own time and effort to rescue & socialize found stray cats and find them good homes. All cats are immediately checked by a vet, checked for fleas, wormed, tested for FIV/FELV and given appropriate vaccines for their age, including rabies. I have two cats from this rescue, and I don't begrudge the adoption fee. All rescues have adoption fees, to cover vet bills, storage for supplies, website costs, etc. which are ever increasing these days.
