Honestly hate to even write this. The vets here are great, super kind and caring towards pets. The prices are very expensive, though, and it seems like lately they just want to get a ton of $ from you as often as possible. There's a vet and/or tech visit fee on every appointment, so it seems like they just want to keep you back. Took my senior dog in for vaccines about 2 months ago. Was told they could not administer them all at the same time, and that she would need boosters. But that the last shot she needed could be given with the boosters. Great. Scheduled follow up for boosters. Was there for about 15 minutes, bill was about $400. Okay, great. She needs her vaccines. A couple of weeks later get a notification that she's overdue for another vaccine. When they called, I asked why this wasn't either given or at least mentioned during the booster appointment. The woman just apologized, said that they "know that this is an issue, and will put a note to work on it." Great, so you want me to keep paying you tech/vet visit fees even though you apparently are aware of this problem and keep doing it? Save your money and go somewhere that isn't just trying to keep you coming back 3x in 2 months for routine care.

Cosmo, Dr. Bryant and Alex truly exceeded my expectations. They were so accommodating to the time our pet needed to be seen. They were gentle, calm and very thorough with the exam. Dr. Bryant/Cosmo explained everything and was sooo helpful with the treatment of our pet. Overall wonderful experience.

When we first started going to Companion almost 2 years ago, we thought so highly of the practice. Unfortunately, the last 6 months of going to Companion we saw a steep decline in care. Our dog is very fearful. We used to be able to have tasks such as nail trims, blood draws, etc done in the exam room so we could be present to help comfort her. The last few visits this request was denied. The worst part, the last time I brought her there, two technicians who are not familiar with her dragged her across the hallway, pulling her back into the treatment room. It was horrifying. If they would have let me communicate that she would typically walk back to the door if I walked back with her but instead as soon as she refused to walk they dragged her by her leash. Price was never concern as we would do anything for our dog. But we had noticed an increase in prices and tests, procedures etc that were being recommended but didn't make complete sense for reason of visit. Now that we have found a new veterinary practice we can see how expensive their prices were and the extra tests/visits they were adding on. Do not recommend this practice, especially if your dog is fearful or has anxiety at the vet. Their website claims they are FearFree however the past couple visits I did not see this implemented, quite the opposite actually.

Brought my Golden Retriever into the office for his first visit at Companion River North and we were welcomed and they have soft music playing, excellent exam rooms, very clean and comforting. Dr. Bryant was amazing and made Beans so comfortable that he rolled over on his back for a belly rub. Results were back quickly! I highly recommend Companion River North.

The veterinarian doctor that saw my dog was amazing, she went over the medications my dog needs in great detail, she gave me a list of shots and test to keep up with, for my dog and my dog liked her from the start. It was our first visit and we will be a family now. Clean facility and great friendly staff.

Has gone way down hill. They have a whole team of very young, inexperienced vets. The last one I saw told me my dog's bloodwork showed he likely needed emergency gallbladder surgery and required additional expensive X-rays. She also listened to his heart and told me he had a grade 4 heart murmur. He had never been diagnosed with even a low grade murmur in all his previous, regular visits. She told me he would need to be on heart medication the rest of his life, so, of course, I started googling the life expectancy of grade 4 murmurs and freaked out. I spent the next 2 hours crying, as I was also expecting him to be heading to the emergency vet now for gallbladder surgery on a Friday night in addition to this heart diagnosis, only for her to call me back and casually say, “Good news! The bloodwork was "wrong.” We redid it and this time it didn’t show anything - his gallbladder is fine. Don’t worry, we won’t charge you for the 2nd set of bloodwork.” I’m sorry what? How does that happen? Needless to say, I immediately booked an echocardiogram at a different, experienced vet, where I was told his murmur is grade one and requires no intervention and is very mild. For being an overpriced vet, I expect high-quality, experienced doctors, not last year’s graduating class going completely rogue and unsupervised. (I googled the doctor and she did indeed graduate the previous year). It’s clear the high fees are not begin invested in quality care providers. ・・・ New! More ways to react to reviews.
