If I could leave them 0 stars I would. I dog got very very sick and he was brought in. First I had to call like 50 times for someone to bring make the emergency appointment to bring him in. The doctors went back and forth with what was wrong and finally diagnosed him. After medicine and IVs and learning what to do at home and 1000. We were trying to save our dog. The next day we had questions. We called and called and finally left a message with someone for the doctor to call us back. Our dog passed 24 hours later. The doctor finally called back 2 days later. Smh. The callousness and lack of concern was ridiculous. They had no problem taking my money but couldn’t have the empathy to say your dog can not be saved or even to return a phone call. If you love your pet don’t come here
I would strongly urge not to take your pet here. I recently took a puppy in after finding worms in his stool. After paying nearly 250 dollars and waiting 3 days, I receive a call in which the veterinarian went on to state misinformation about different parasites, consequently failing to properly diagnose my pet. I am short 250 dollars for with no conclusive aid.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had an appointment for my pet and once I got to the office I was informed that it was canceled. I guess the doctor was out. I took off work and paid an UberPet to get us to the appointment. Canceling appointments the day of is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. The lady at the desk said she left me a voicemail earlier that day, why not text and/or email in addition to doing that to ensure I got the message. They send a million texts and emails reminding me about the appointment & asking me to confirm I am still coming...why not do the same for cancellation notifications?
As is typical of my experience, I first emailed the clinic 2 days ago to ask someone to call me before I posted this review, and as I expected, no one has called. I went in person to the clinic over a week ago because I couldn't get anyone on the phone to ask if I needed to worry about the fact that our puppy wasn't eating. "Someone will call you" I was told. No one did. 5 days later someone texted (no name) to ask "Hi Mrs. Julie, how is Bowie doing? Is he eating or drinking?" Five days. I ignored the question because clearly they were not concerned about my pup and then instead asked: "I dropped stool sample off - I'm hoping if there was a problem someone would have reached out. it is ok?" And here's their response: "The giardia was positive but I've got some medication ready for pick-up as well. I'm sorry Antech did not send it the response, we had to call." Here's the thing: I have been asking fellow dog people in the neighborhood about why no one likes the clinic (apparently they used to) -- its sooo convenient I really want to use it. Literally the very first person I ran in to after learning that they neglected to tell me that they knew why my puppy was sick - because he had giardia -- said the exact same thing happened with her puppy, that she found out only by asking and that 10 days had passed and the dog seemed sick but she didn't know why. Anyway, I went in, got the medication with instructions on how to administer it and left. I was googling giardia to see how long it lasts, and I see there are lots of things dog owners can do to help prevent reinfection, like wash dog beds, wipe their butts, etc. Its not just enough to give the medication. And no one told me anything other than "here's the medication". I cannot believe how sloppy this operation is. It feels like we have to ask for every scrap of information. Maybe I am not supposed to expect any education about the pup from an animal clinic, but people who take their dogs other places describe feeling much more confident in the care and education they receive. Big bummer.
The staff is always very friendly and they remember me and my pet. I would say it's definitely not gonna be one of your cheaper options, but so far they've taken only the best care of my cats.
What really pushed me over the edge is when this facility made it nearly a month long process to refill my dogs medicine (typical flea and tick medicine, nothing crazy), and when they finally had it and texted me they had it ready, I confirmed I’d come in the same day to get it. I get there… and they said they gave it to someone who came in earlier. This place is an absolute joke.
